“We were visiting family in the surrounding area. It was our first time in the Middletown area and before we went we had the impression of it being kind of a backwoods small town without much going on. Therefore, I have to say that finding this restaurant was a really big surprise. Not only were the food and service great but it was quite authentic and not your typical Americanized Mexican food. I don’t claim to be a Mexican food expert but I have had many business trips to Mexico. The food they served was definitely freshly made. Not overly cheezed up like most other “Mexican” restaurants across the US. The lady was also very friendly.

We ordered all different flavors of their agua fresca in large cup size, and they came in these huge soup takeout containers 😄 and they tasted so good.“

Looking up food delivery in that area and found Taco Factory...ordered street tacos and they were as good as I've ever had...delivered to me hot, fresh and awsome...the owner took my order and delivered to me. Very nice and personable...when in this area I will be sure to order again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND You give them a try.“

“Our first time visiting Monarca and it was excellent. I chose the cammarones (shrimp with mushrooms and tequila) with the charro. (The charro!!! ?) So good! We ordered the queso which was spicy and very tasty. Margaritas were so good. We all left stuffed and satisfied. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. I loved the decor, the seating and ambiance. I'm surprized to see some of the comments here. People do have to realize a new business doesn't just open and run like clockwork. It takes time for staff to gel and get a system down. Its unrealistic to not expect that a brand new establishment needs time to work out kinks. That's why Im glad we waited to visit until now because we were very pleased and will be back!! “We have wanted to try this restaurant and today we did, so glad we did! It was outstanding! It's real Mexican food not your Tex Mex version. I ordered the Taquitos Dorados, YUM! My husband ordered the shredded beef taco, out of this world! Their guacamole, chunks of avocado, not a soupy mess like so many other restaurant serve. The salsa had just the right amount of heat, chips are good too. We will be going back and trying many other items on their menu.“

“We went there with my family for Christmas Eve dinner with a party of 15.. Exceptional food and service. Wait staff went above and beyond to accommodate us for a special evening of family and friends. I provided a small gift for my grandson and they did an amazing job of telling him how Santa Claus heard he was such a good boy and left it there for him. We were lucky to have such an experienced waiter that made our evening so memorable for our grandson..I felt prices were very good, food was awesome and served in a timely manner. It’s not easy serving so many people at once food and drinks. Everyone enjoyed their meal and desert. Certainly looking forward to going back!!! If I could leave more than 5 Stars I would!“

“There is literally nothing bad that can be said about Ruben Jrs. Their tacos are amazing, simple, inexpensive and loaded. I have been to other taco spots around the mid Hudson area and by far Rubens is my favorite. My gf and I plan on going there for our 1 yr anniversary. Sounds crazy if you've ever been in the place, cuz it's literally a few shelves of product, a long counter for dine in and usually pretty hot, but those tacos ... Best in southern NY, if you ask me. Rubens has been featured on our Facebook and Instagram stories more times than I can count.

I have been getting tacos from them for the past 7 or so years, and plan on continuing that as long as I possibly can.

They are cash only, but have an ATM on site, and if that one's down there is one next door.“
