“A very pleasant surprise. First time we went for dinner, it was an experiment. Very happy with the food and service. They gave us a free appetizer and desert. The food was amazing and a great selection with reasonable prices. The drinks were excellent. This is how a restaurant should be. The owner makes sure everyone is properly taken care of and makes you feel welcomed. We came back a week later for more. Highly recommended.“

“I went to the Midland Park location. Mary and the other staff greeted my son , my mom and myself as we opened the door. The food was hot, fresh delicious . Every time we come it is always consistent. Mary was so friendly , accommodating, patient helping us place the order and helping me download the app. We will definitely be back. Great atmosphere to sit back and relax with my family. I even went back to the counter to buy more to go for my husband . My favorite is the pork rice bowl with all the toppings. My mom loves the quesadillas they have just the right amount of crunch .“

“I must say this is the best Mexican food I've had in New York! I got the chimichangas, rice & beans. Everything tasted fresh and homemade! The chimichangas were stuffed with tender diced chicken, fresh tomatoes, and other great stuff. It came with guacamole too! We didn't order any drinks but the server brought us water without us even asking. What great service! I'll have to recommend this place to my friends.“

“The food here was excellent. Freshness and effort came through in all the dishes clearly. Everyone at the table loved their food - we ordered fish tacos, chicken fajitas nachos to share with everyone and our friends ordered the veg quesadillas and grilled veg Mexican bowl(it comes in a plate?). The restaurant also offers sauces with 3 different levels of spice which that added an additional element of flavour. The best thing is that they offer great service too ! Very warm and involved. “Absolutely top-notch authentic Mexican food. Outdoor seating when the weather permits. I am blown away by one of their ceviches called “Vuelve a la Vida”. I order it every time.Be sure to order a dish that comes with rice and refried beans. Their refried beans are to die for! This is a 6 star review, but Google only allows me to put 5 stars. The food is consistently delicious and I always have a great experience at Gardenia’s.“

“This small hole in the wal restaurant serves excellent authentic Mexican food. Mostly a take out spot due to them having only a handful of tables inside. That being said the staff is friendly and welcoming when eating in house. We got an order of guacamole, tacos and chicken mole, all of which was fabulous. The kicker was the home made tortillas which were to die for ! Will be coming back to try more of the menu.“

It's one of those spots where you could order the same thing each time and NEVER get tired. Located in a corner of a plaza across the street from Walgreens in Spring Valley, this spot is conveniently located in the center of the city. The Biztec Tapatio is great if you like a little spicy kick, the ceviche when you're craving something fresh, and the fish. I'm getting hungry just typing it out.
