“Our first time going to the Totowa location (met up with friends for lunch). Staff was very friendly and helpful - we decided to eat outside and they brought the food to us quickly. We had the tacos, regular bowl with carnitas and fajita bowl with steak and pina-mango drink. Food was very tasty and freshly made. Will come back to try El Pastor. Definitely recommend Sombrero Tacoria.“

“With the TV on and the Mexican music playing, it was sensory overload for me! The waitress did turn off the tv when asked. She was very sweet.

They do not serve complementary chips and salsa like other places do. Waitress was very polite but knew very little English, which made my family nervous as we have food allergies and are vegetarians. However, the order was fine and the food seemed to be of good quality. I thought that $55 was a little pricey for a family of four, but I’m sure that some people could have gone cheaper.“

“This is a classic New Jersey pizzeria. Owner is very nice. The workers are very nice and one thing I noticed about this restaurant is they are very, very clean, which says a lot nowadays. I’ve had different slices throughout the years and it’s always good today. I tried the buffalo slice. This one was pretty good. There was a lot of cheese on it and when they make their buffalo slice, they have the tomato sauce with it so it depends on your preference. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone in the area next time.“

“Recently had my daughters graduation party at Agave. Isaac, the owner was extremely helpful and the staff worked very hard to make sure my party ran smoothly. The food and cocktails were fantastic. We had a party of 50+ with a DJ and had plenty of room dinner and dancing. The party was very affordable! Would definitely recommend!!“

I ordered two marry me cocktails and the second was better and stronger than the first. For starters, we had the tostones and guacamole topped with shrimp and churrasco. For entree my husband had the mofongo de churrasco and I had the garlic mashed potatoes with churrasco and lobster. Food was 10/10! Our server was attentive and informative regarding the dishes. Let’s just say- chipotle would literally get put out of business. I got the burrito bowl, and my stomach felt fine afterwards (unlike chipotle- and I love chipotle, but this place obvs has better quality food).
It was absolutely the best thing ever, and HUGE portions… I couldn’t finish all of my food.

Overall 10/10. And the people who work here were reallyyyy sweet too, and hooked me and my friend up with amazing friend dough. The next time I’m in the area- I’m coming here.“

“This is our go to taqueria in the area, I order tacos de carnitas. They used to be in a smaller space but they moved next door, this is much nicer.

Parking: Street parking only. There is a large parking lot on 14 chestnut that is free after 5, it’s only a block away.“

“We've been going to Blue Moon for at least 10 years. We always sit in the bar area for the atmosphere. It's gets very crowded, but everyone is friendly. The best part about this bar/restaurant is how good & attentive the staff is. It seems like they're are never understaffed. No matter how crowded it is, someone drops off chips & salsa to your table and takes your drink order immediately. There's no waiting for someone to take your drink order while you look at the menu like most restaurants in jersey these days. Even the manager comes around to see if you want more chips & asks how everything is. Whoever is training the waitstaff & bartenders at Blue Moon would make a killing training staff and managers of other bars/restaurants. As far as people saying the food is salty, we've never experienced that. The drinks are strong & tasty and staff super friendly. There's tons of parking, it's kid friendly in the dining room. It's ground level, which makes it accessible to everyone.“

I'm not sure which part of Mexico the family that runs this place is from so I something I'm more familiar so I ordered the chicken quesadilla. It was really good with the chili sauce. Only thing missing was horchata. I washed it down with grapefruit jarrito. I paid in cash not sure if cc accepted.
