“The most racist place I ever been too. Was accused of things like nothing I ever seen before. The bartender Shannon got in my face, after she lied and made such serious accusations. You can see things on the video cameras. I was asked not to come in there no more. I was told my kind isn't welcomed there.“

“Went here for a low key birthday dinner with the husband last night. The place is cozy and the staff was super friendly. You order food through an app which honestly, is pretty ingenious. You have a few flavors of soup to pick from and a ton of add ins from lamb, beef or pork belly, squid, shrimp, fish or meat balls, dumplings, various noodles, different types of mushrooms, vegetables and probably a lot more that I can’t even remember. Soda comes with the meal, and there’s a ton of stuff off to the side to use for flavoring. The base itself was a bit bland but all the add in options help. I ended up making my own dipping sauce, as well as stuff to flavor the soup (garlic, cilantro, scallions, sesame seeds/oil, salt/sugar, soy sauce, peanut sauce, tofu, sesame sauce, the list goes on of what’s available ). There’s also tongs, plates, bowls, ladles etc next to the mix ins if you’d like to use those. And to round out the meal, you get ice cream as well. All the food also came out super quick.Overall we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely come back again. Totally recommend.Vegetarian options: Vegetation options seemed easily available. They have a tomato soup base with various vegetables such as potato, sweet potato, spinach various mushrooms, seaweed, and tofu.Parking: No assigned spots, but a decent amount of space in front, back and on the side to park.“

“By far the best restaurant in Middletown and it isn’t even close. From the quality to the service, everything here is unmatched! I’ve been trying to come here as often as possible to try out new things on their menu and everything is a hit!The price is also very reasonable and doesn’t break the bank. It feels like going to your parents house and getting homemade food. This place is a MUST for anyone who every passes through the area.“

“Stumbled upon this hidden gem in Middletown NY. Small menu, so that makes it easier to decide what to eat. The Korean pancake and radish appetizer were delicious. I had the beef bibimpap, not a huge dish but perfect for me and BF had the bulgogi and enjoyed it. My dinner came with seaweed soup and I loved it. They also have one of the best kimchi I've ever had. Some of the Banchans were just okay, fish cake didn't have much taste and the pickled radish. Service was friendly, you order at the counter and they bring the food to you.“

“We'd driven by quite a few times and decided it was time to give Ray's Place a try. I'm very happy we did. First of all, the owner greets you so warmly upon entering. We were new to this restaurant, yet he treated us like old friends. We both decided to try the cheesesteak sandwiches and we split an order of fries and onion rings. You can easily see how much care he puts in to his menu items. The cheesesteaks are wonderful- the bread is so fresh and delicious! Onion rings are perfectly crispy! Regular sized fries are more than enough for 2 to share. I'm definitely looking forward to trying breakfast items and the soups. You definitely have 2 new loyal customers!!“

“Very neat place with awesome atmosphere. Solid craft beer list (unfortunately missed my tastes but still a good list). Bartender was super friendly and fun.We unfortunately only got wings here and they were not good. They were dry, small, and the dry rub only hit one side. So that side was overpoweringly flavored and the other was just dry chicken.Their menu looks awesome and some of the other food we saw coming out looked really good. But the wings were decidedly not good.Hope to come back another day and try some other food and switch to 5 stars.“

“Delicious farm to table restaurant. Recommend making reservations especially on the weekend. I called on a Saturday right when they opened at 4pm and was able to secure a reservation at 7pm, which required a credit card on file and $35pp cancellation fee. The Grange is an intimate dining room with about six tables, adorned with beautiful art, dimly lit, and very cozy and welcoming. On Saturdays, they have a pre-fixe menu of $65pp which includes an appetizer, entree, dessert and choice of coffee, tea, or espresso. They have a small wine and beer selection, but no cocktails. We started with a Kentucky fried duck tenderloin appetizer and the lunar new year nachos. The fried duck was fried in a thick batter and served on creamy polenta and blue cheese. The lunar new year tacos was heavy on the rice, it would have been better with a bit more tuna. For entrees, I ordered the La Belle Farm Duck Breast, cooked medium, and my husband ordered the HVCC Sliced NY Strip Steak, medium rare. My husband's steak was so delicious and nicely cooked. I thought my duck breast was a little too rare for me, but the dish itself was very good. For dessert, I had the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream which I really liked. Our server was nice enough to add a candle for my birthday, which was a nice little surprise. My husband had an apple crisp dessert with vanilla ice cream, which he also enjoyed. We also each had our own little pot of tea which was the perfect ending to our meal. Service here was very friendly and smooth. Lovely ambiance and great food. Perfect for a date night.“
“First time after many years in the area - due to their strict reservation policy. We generally eat out frequently and like to just show up without reservations. The food was very good but the menu was limited and they didn’t have a few items. Staff were good. The exhaust system needs to be updated, as there was a slight cloud of smoke throughout the restaurant. Otherwise, we’ll return when their outdoor section opens. ??“

“A hidden gem in Warwick, NY! We came across this restaurant a few months back when my family was looking for a place that could offer safe food alternatives. Our entire family is gluten, soy and dairy allergic, and this place overdelivered on every detail.Savannah, our waitress was a star, she was incredibly helpful and the owner went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I have gone back several times, because their food is safe and DELICIOUS! 10/10 Recommend.Dietary restrictions: Gluten, soy and dairy allergic. This place was able to deliver!“

“Such a nice place! They had plenty of beers to choose from and even had wine, cider, and seltzer options if you don't drink beer. There was a Nacho food truck on the day we went which was also great. Plenty of seating as they had a large tent set up with tables and chairs. We even got to see the two cats on property who were adorable. Great way to spend a low key afternoon.“

“The atmosphere is amazing. That's the high point of this restaurant. I also love that they have a sauce bar where you can sample all kinds of different sauces. The food is decent, but it's not the most authentic Mexican food and the menu is a little limited compared to most Mexican restaurants. The service was good and the tortilla chips with all of the different salsas were probably the highlight of the meal. The chicken tortilla soup was very salty and didn't taste too good. That and the limited menu cost them a five star review instead of four stars. The rest of the food was pretty good though. It wasn't amazing, but it was decent.“
“Start to finish...Wow! we started with the amuse Puff Pastry “Neptune” and it was fluffy, buttery, and crispy, just amazing and the Escargot “Café de Paris” appetizer. My God. I have no idea how they create those delicious foods. We came on a Friday and I loved the aesthetic inside the restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, they even had the fireplace going all night and the staff was prompt and attentive. My husband had the New York Sirloin Steak and I had one of the specials with a sauce that was to die for.Everything was cooked perfectly and incredibly tasty. I’m usually a tough critic when it comes to steaks at restaurants and had my guard up but they knocked out of the park.It was a truly exceptional dining experience from start to finish.“

“Our first time visiting Monarca and it was excellent. I chose the cammarones (shrimp with mushrooms and tequila) with the charro. (The charro!!! ?) So good! We ordered the queso which was spicy and very tasty. Margaritas were so good. We all left stuffed and satisfied. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. I loved the decor, the seating and ambiance. I'm surprized to see some of the comments here. People do have to realize a new business doesn't just open and run like clockwork. It takes time for staff to gel and get a system down. Its unrealistic to not expect that a brand new establishment needs time to work out kinks. That's why Im glad we waited to visit until now because we were very pleased and will be back!! Thank you Monarca.“

“I always recommend Mr Sushi to people when they ask for good restaurants near the Middletown area. Sushi is fresh and the specialty rolls are awesome. I go during lunch time and the lunch specials are fantastic: chicken teriyaki bento box (my only complaints are the texture of the chicken sometimes and meal temperature needs to be hotter), hibachi lunch is so delicious (sauces on the side ?), and sushi rolls- eel avocado, spicy tuna, and shrimp tempura are some of my favorite.
