The first taste is enough. The diner disappears. For a moment you see a world just slightly better than this one, the one we were probably meant to inherit. People wave to strangers. Coffee is always hot. Nobody is in a hurry. The eggs are perfect every time.
Then you come back.
The waitress asks if you need anything else. You ask for more Mexican sauce. Some visions are worth chasing twice.
