더 바삭 The Basac Reviews
I’m a fan of the food and the ambiance of the place
Best 돈가쓰!! 진짜 맛있어요 ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ
This place has quickly become one of our favorites!
The service is excellent, and the servers are always attentive. If there's ever a mistake with your order, they quickly make it right.
Our favorite dish is the fish tonkatsu, but you can also order combination options like chicken and fish or fish and pork katsu. We also love that they give you plenty of cabbage salad.
Another must-try is the boneless garlic chicken—I'm drooling just thinking about it!

The Basac is a small yet vibrant Korean restaurant tucked away in Murray Hill, Queens. Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior is cool and lively, with recycled shipping containers and black sharpie doodles adorning the walls, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. Customers often praise the friendly and welcoming owners, making the experience even warmer.
The menu at The Basac offers a variety of comforting Korean dishes, including the popular Kimchi Fried Rice, which many consider the best in Queens. The dishes are known for their freshness and flavor. The fried rice can be ordered spicy, and customers say it’s very delicious, even if it almost destroys the stomach. The Spicy Katsu is highly recommended, with some choosing the curry donkatsu served with the curry on the side, using it as a dipping sauce to keep the donkatsu crispy. The Tteok-bokki on skewers has been noted as watery and lacking flavor, which disappointed some, but other dishes like steamed eggs and the fried rice are praised.
Overall, The Basac is appreciated for its reasonable prices, tasty dishes, and the effort the owners put into making each meal special. While it might be a bit out of the way for some, many customers are willing to make the trip for the fresh, comforting Korean food served at this lively restaurant.
