About Tong Sam Gyup Goo Yi

Tong Sam Gyup Goo Yi is a hidden gem in Queens, near the LIRR Broadway station. The menu offers a handful of items, with big portions at reasonable prices. Locals and regulars frequent this spot, known for its tasty pork belly and high-quality meats. Customers recommend trying the pork jowl and finishing off with the fried rice. The restaurant also offers add-ons like eggs, spam, and cheese for a small fee. This Korean BBQ spot is a must-visit in NYC, with a simple setup that resembles those seen in K-dramas. The new owners have maintained the great food, great vibes, and reasonable prices. The wait staff, especially the petite Hispanic lady, is attentive and generous with portions. The cold noodle, served in a freshly carved ice bowl, and the fried rice, prepared hibachi-style in front of the customers, are standout dishes. The pork belly, bean sprouts, Kimchi Jigae, and naengmyeon are also highly recommended, with the portions being great for the prices.

This is the top choice among local Koreans—affordable, incredibly delicious, and with a taste that is absolutely identical to what you’d find in Korea. The only downside is that you might have to wait a bit for service, simply because the place is just so busy!
I wasn’t a big fan of pork belly before I found this restaurant. I highly recommend to try their pork belly. So good, so good, I LOVE IT!!!!!!
Every time we went there, we ordered at least four plates of pork belly, I never get tired of their pork belly. Kimchi is great too! The fired rice , the way the mixed the ingredients is so perfect to eat as the last meal of that moment. Also, the way the set up their grill pan makes me feel like they are taking me back to retro korean...read full review
