“Boardwalk Beer Garden turned out to be exactly the kind of place I did not know I needed tonight.

It’s right on the Brighton Beach Boardwalk, which already gives it a strong advantage: beach air, ocean nearby, and a calmer feel than the heavier Coney Island energy down the way. I had spent some time outside by the beach first, just taking in the water and the boardwalk, and then decided to step inside for a drink and something to eat.

Inside, the place had the feel of a real neighborhood bar: comfortable, lively, and unpretentious. Sports were playing across the TV screens, so it had that good sports-bar energy without feeling overwhelming. I was there by myself, but I never felt out of place. That matters. Some places have a way of making a solo customer feel invisible; this place did the opposite.

The margarita was excellent — honestly, one of the best I’ve had. Big credit to Phillip, who was an incredible bartender and made the whole experience feel easy, friendly, and welcoming. Good service is not just about taking an order. It is about reading the room, making people feel comfortable, and adding something human to the night. Phillip did that.

I also had the Jumbo Mozzarella Sticks with the margarita, and they absolutely hit the spot. Simple, satisfying, and exactly the kind of bar food you want when you’re sitting inside after time on the boardwalk.

Overall, Boardwalk Beer Garden was a very pleasant surprise: a relaxed Brighton Beach spot with a homey feel, good drinks, satisfying food, sports on the screens, and genuinely friendly service. I’m glad I gave it a chance, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a laid-back place near the beach.“

“The atmosphere and service were outstanding. We only went for desert and coffee. The chocolate cake was amazing. A couple we vacationed with has eaten dinner there 2 nights before and said how amazing the food was. One of the staff members even gave us a personal tour and history of the building. Just keep in mind that if you sit outside at night, the music can make it difficult for the servers to hear the call button when you need assistance. Though the man’s name would imply neon electricity it’s much more tame than that. Food for thought it said artist decides to do another.“

“One of the great cocktail bars in Astoria. It's my go to spot. I've been there at least a dozen times. I'm a hospitality professional for 25 years in 3 Michelin level dining and as an owner. Needless to say I know a good bar program. Keep up the good work crew. Ownership still tends the bar on Saturday.“

“The atmosphere is great, the food is good, and the drinks are reasonably priced for the quality. The only downside was one of the female security guards, who wasn’t very friendly and seemed a bit defensive.

Other than that, my experience has always been excellent. I’ve been here several times, including during the World Cup matches, and the energy is always amazing. I would definitely come back“

“ordered the sandwich and it was so delicious. It was a bit too crispy for me but such a filling meal, so I didn’t mind the price as much since I really liked it and the meat was seasoned well. I would definitely get it again once my teeth gets better so I can fully enjoy that sandwich.“

Felt that was not necessary but I paid it. After spending so much they should have let that slide or reach out to me next time.“

“Looks small when you enter but gets bigger the further back you go. We tried the Bedford burger and it was delicious. Bacon just right and burger grilled just right. All it was missing was a pickle spear on the side. We sat right by the kitchen and watching all the orders come up reinforced that we needed to come back again and again and again. “A nice neighborhood bar with a huge courtyard, the restrooms were clean, the alcohol selection isn't particularly wide, but if you're looking to drink a beer close to home, this is a great place, the staff are nice people at not expensive prices at all.“

“Tried this place recently and honestly really enjoyed it. The skewers were the best part of the meal for sure. Both the chicken and lamb were super flavorful, tender, and cooked really well. Everything came out fresh and hot, and the seasoning was spot on. We kept ordering more because they were so good.

I also liked how the ordering worked. Every table has an iPad, so you just place your order there and it goes straight to the kitchen. It made everything really easy and convenient, especially when we wanted to add more food without trying to flag someone down. The food came out pretty quickly too.

The other dishes we tried were also solid and paired well with the skewers. One small thing I thought was clever was the bucket they give you to throw away the used skewers. It keeps the table clean and somehow just makes the whole experience feel more organized.

Prices were pretty reasonable considering the quality and amount of food. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome the whole time. Definitely would recommend this spot if you’re craving good skewers and a fun casual meal.“

“Bee cafe is a very quaint little neighborhood spot offering specialty drinks and a variety of food. The vibe is a quirky summer camp feel with plenty of plants in mason jars.. The back area of the cafe mimics an outdoor picnic area with a trailer, without actually being outside. Its popular with folks lounging with their laptops. It connects with a laundry mat, so you can do your laundry and have a relaxing meal or a beverage while you wait! Bee Cafe is definitely worth a trip over to Woodside.“

“We went because we were close and we just wanted to watch the Germany soccer game, the bar is small but the experience is very quiet and makes you feel a bohemian and alternative energy. The beers were very good, especially the one that Cameron recommended to me as a fan of Guinness beer.
The cidra has been one of the best we have ever tried, the pretzel was giant, but the best was the accompanying dip.
