The brisket lived up to all the great things we had heard. Also had calm chowder amazing and the famous donuts for desserts. “Another great experience tonight. We asked to be seated in Paige's section. She was once again the best waitress ever. I mean where else can you get hugs from a waitress? She is spot on regarding service, attitude and always with a smile. She was very busy today but still made us feel like we were her only table she needed her attention. She is truly a rare breed pleasant and a hard-working individual. Also want to say once again the food was delicious, steaming hit when served, if you have not yet tried Garramone's it is worth the drive to Forestport.”

“Made a special trip to Boonville from Watertown to visit Awesome Country and have lunch at Flatlander Deli. We were not disappointed! We had delicious sandwiches, shopped in the store and met some lovely people who work there! We had our two little grand girls with us so I will have to make a return trip to shop at a more leisurely pace. This is just the sweetest place with friendly employees who care about their community. Oh, and the sandwiches and soup we had were generously put together and amazing! I'm so glad we found you!”

“10/09/24 UPDATE: The owner of Mercer's Dairy reached out to me shortly after I posted my review below and requested more information about the ice cream that I purchased, so I contacted her and provided the information she requested. She was very pleasant and apologized if that ice cream didn't meet their high standards for quality. She then graciously offered to refund my purchase price, and I accepted. Based on how this experience ended up, I've updated the review rating, and will try their ice cream again in the future. My sincere thanks and kudos to Ruthie for standing behind the quality of her ice cream products. That's something you don't experience very often these days.

10/07/24: I'd read all the great reviews, and heard that Mercer's ice cream is the stuff that legends are made of, so we decided to stop and buy some ice cream there on our way home on a recent Sunday. We bought a half-gallon of Adirondack Brownie ice cream, and we even bought some dry ice there just to be sure the ice cream didn't melt on the way home. The ice cream was still frozen when we got home, and it went right into our freezer and stayed there until we took it out that evening. Sadly, what's in this half-gallon carton is anything but rich ice cream. It's very grainy, and looks and tastes like it has ice crystals or freezer burn. It has the taste and consistency of ice milk, definitely not like any ice cream we've ever had. That's very disappointing considering we paid a premium price and expected a premium product. The expiration date is in 2026, so I guess that's not the problem. Maybe we just got some bad product. We'll just stick with Perry's or Breyers ice cream because we know what to expect from those two brands.”

“I ordered today for lunch. Medium broccoli, onion, and garlic. They did not disappoint!! The pizza is nostalgic for me. Reminds me of Old school pizza and how it was made!! “We have visited Rocky’s several times and every time the food and service were excellent ! The only complaint I have is the HORRIBLE water. You can taste and smell the sulfur big time ! It leaves a horrible aftertaste in your mouth. I’ve tried the fountain drinks and they are awful ! Our waitress says they get several complaints about the water. I hope someone sees this and changes it !”

“I frequent this Subway a couple of times a month. I picked up my Italian sub today and it had so much oil on it's soaked through the paper wrapper. it had so much oil on it you could barely taste anything else. I've had such great sandwiches over the last 6 months or so I was really disappointed.”

“Stopped by real quick on the way to old forge. Staff was friendly, food was hot and delicious and 5 people got food under $20. Can’t go wrong here. Burger King wraps also blow McDonald’s out of the water. Boonville has a gem here!”

“Gas station convenience store converted to gas station DD. Gas station busy, with 1 attendant. About 6 people waiting to get their orders made. No bathroom visible, 1 employee bathroom outside locked of course. Place out in rural area. Stony Brook looks scenic, but this DD appeared pretty sub par. How a gas station got through planning board without public bathroom is 1 legit question, how it got through DD franchise requirements is 2nd legit question. As Simon Cowell would say, it s a NO from me.22 May 2023”
