“Went to Otaki Sushi for lunch and it was worth it. The service was on point; our server was super polite, always checking in, and she made sure our hot tea was never empty. The tea is really good and pipping hot not warm.

We had the salmon teriyaki bento boxes for $14, and you definitely get your money’s worth. The salmon was fresh, no fishy smell, cooked perfectly with a nice crust outside but still moist in the middle, and not drowning in sauce. It comes with broccoli, snow peas, and corn. I like my veggies crunchy so I enjoyed it, but if you like them softer, I’d just mention that when ordering.

The bento also came with California rolls, and those were really good too. Between the portion size, quality, and service, you leave full and happy. Five out of five.“

“We stopped into the newly renovated Mama Theresa’s in Garden City for the first time, and it was such a great experience. The holiday décor immediately stood out — warm, festive, and really inviting without feeling overdone.

We started with the zuppa di cozze, which was excellent. The broth had so much flavor that dipping the fresh bread into it was a must. We also ordered the 12” bar pizzetta, which was the perfect crispy, shareable starter.

For entrées, we had the chicken piccata with a side of fettuccine, and the branzino Mediterraneo paired with fettuccine in a clam sauce. Both dishes were fresh, well-seasoned, and generously portioned.

Dessert was classic and done right — cannolis and a slice of Junior’s New York–style cheesecake. We finished the meal with a cappuccino, which felt like the perfect end to a really great dinner.

Overall, the renovated Garden City location is beautiful, the food was consistently great from start to finish, and the service was solid. Definitely worth visiting, especially during the holidays when it looks extra festive.“

“I went to a family friend’s 70th birthday party they hosted in the Atlantic ballroom. The space was modern and very clean. The food was DELICIOUS!!! And the workers, Yiselle, Estrellita, and Shorty (blonde) made the event so memorable! They paid attention to every detail, whether it was filling our water cups, collecting unused plates and of course they did it all with a warm smile. They were kind, funny and very welcoming. Vegetarian options: Masala dosa is my favorite. It’s like a potato pancake and gluten free. Then there is the chapati roll up with lots of cooked vegetables inside and a salad. The taste is indescribable, and some of the dishes, if requested, have a touch of Indian spices.

Dietary restrictions: I am happy that they have many gluten free options. Annam Brahma has only vegetarian food. The desserts are homemade.“

“Hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here and we are SO glad did - everything was perfect! Everyone could not get over how delicious all the food was. Danny worked with us to create a menu that was tailored to us and our guests and we got SO much food included in the package we did. He also worked with us to create table arrangements that worked best for our event. I was worried at first that the space only being partially private and not a true private room would be an issue but it was not at all! We really didn’t need it and were happy to still get to enjoy the Sinatra singer that plays for the restaurant that night. He even came over and sang for our party and had us dance which was not expected but a fun surprise that we loved! Overall we had a great event here and I am so happy we chose them to host it!“
