“This is a hidden gem in Roosevelt Field. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor in NM and it is bright and welcoming. The service was attentive and the food was amazing. They start you off with a small cup of warm bone broth ( incredibly delicious). My companion had never had bone broth this way and loved it. They also bring a fairly large popover with Strawberry flavored butter while you review the menu. My companion ordered the Caesar Salad w chicken and I had the Warm Grains salad w Shrimp. The entrees came out quickly and the service made us feel like important VIP's. The portions were generous and they were so good they were devoured quickly. ( we were hungry LOL). The prices were in line with what you would pay for any restaurant, however this experience was exceptional. I really cannot wait to return.“

“The Hideaway Cafe is truly a hidden gem. I worked in the Verizon building across the street, and even though there is a cafeteria in the building, the Hideaway Cafe was my place of choice. The owners and employees are great people, and they work hard at providing excellent food, and darn good prices and portions. And if you love soups, they make all of them from scratch, and they're all delicious, but their Cream of Tomato soup is addictive, pair it with a Grilled cheese sandwich and you'll think you've gone to Heaven. There are many times I have even brought food to take home for dinner, rather than cook. LOL. Do yourself, and your tastebuds a favor, check out the Hideaway Cafe ASAP.“

Decided on the samplers: double play or triple play based on the number of proteins (limited to pulled chicken, pulled pork, bratwurst or chopped brisket (+$2); can't double up on same protein). Served on a tray which made it look sparse. Bbq meats were good for me, tasty and not salty (usually saltier for me at other places). Prefer brisket not chopped though.
Came with 2 sides (each serving was a bit small) and cornbread.“

“So I had my wedding here at Seventh Street Cafe on July 6. I would say from jump street the service was absolutely amazing. The fact that Brooke worked with me and gave me such great ideas on a tight timeline was amazing! She suggested that I could have my ceremony and a luncheon and I liked that! Brooke answered every one of my questions and was always available and I loved that! She even went above and beyond and opened up earlier on the day of so my bridesmaids can help with set up and that is something I will remember. Even when me and my fiance came in and had an early dinner, the food was amazing! But anywho, even when she wasn't there, the staff was so accommodating and worked with me and let me know everything would be fine and gave me a clear idea of what the room looked like. So the day comes and when I saw the room ( I used the Victoria Room btw) I was floored! Everything was beautifully set up and like I said the staff was absolutely amazing! Everything went so smooth the transition from ceremony to luncheon was smooth and the food was absolutely amazing! I wish I could try everything from off that menu! My guests loved their food and raved about the setup! Seventh Street really did an amazing job on one of the most important days of my life! Thank you so so much!!!!! Eclectic furniture and decorations. $1 for an egg and $3 for 4 strawberries that were cut so tiny, it would make you think there were more.“

“I have been frequenting the Kookaburra Malverne location on and off for several years. The only downside is they close a bit early for my schedule and they only take cash. Other than that, this location is full of phenomenal humans. The customer service is unparalleled. Every single time that I can remember there that’s been a superb interaction with the baristas and the clientele. Today one is the baristas wishes a client Happy Birthday anniversary wishes and the client was so moved. Heck, I was moved. A couple of months ago I was here and heard a client place an order and received the order and said it wasn’t what she ordered. In many cases folks would get annoyed as they made what the client requested, but the barista was so kind and professional, but mostly so kind and understanding and she remade the clients order and offered the “mistaken” beverage for the client to take at no charge. It was such a great moment to witness. The energy in here is quite welcoming and positive. Our furry babies are welcome and everyone is treated with respect and kindness.

When our PTSA requested a donation for our Supermarket Bingo they didn’t hesitate for a second. 🙏🏽

This place IS A HIDDEN GEM. Not only the food is delicious, everyone here was super friendly!

I ordered Turkey melt, TUNA MELT (!!!), Chicken Caesar wrap, Roast Beef wrap, grilled cheese, and Scrambled eggs for a small bday party. Everyone loved the food and many asked me where I ordered from.

Especially the Tuna melt. Which I ordered because Susan recommended it herself!
They also have amazing cookies!

Susan's Kitchen is located in an office building, made it a little hard to find, in my opinion. My husband and I were confused whether or not we were allowed to park in the parking lot of the building.
