“Have to say.. for a Hospital cafeteria they got it all. Lots of pastries.. salads and lattes.. open 24hrs. Very Clean. Service was friendly. Comes in handy in a pinch (when ya gotta be in the emergency room). Patient says the cupcake is "very good." can't beat it.“

“Exceptional Hidden Gem!!!!!!

Waffles N Sip Cafe is an absolute hidden gem! The Belgian waffles were perfectly fluffy, fresh, and delicious. Their specialty lattes are truly unique and full of flavor—the Lotus Latte is an absolute must-try and was one of the best specialty coffee drinks I’ve had.

The atmosphere is welcoming, the food is delectable, and the service was wonderful. If you’re looking for a great brunch spot with amazing waffles and creative coffee selections, I highly recommend Waffles N Sip Cafe.

“Fantastic time at this quaint little gem in Bayside.

When I arrived I waited for a friend outside and the most glorious aroma of freshly baked something filled the air. I could see through the window baked products coming out of the oven. Awesome!

I had a delicious organic jasmine tea. It was wonderful. You could taste the jasmine so strongly which I like. It was served table side. The sweetest china teapot and accompanying tea cups. Tea is always better in bone china. Just sayin’!

I chose a freshly baked banana muffin. It was still warm and sooo buttery with a crusty top. Perfect !

The atmosphere is a warm eclectic mix of nostalgic items, small bistro tables and books. You can spend an afternoon’s in here in this relaxing atmosphere.

A hidden secret… they have a large but quaint room upstairs from the cafe that can be rented for parties, high tea and meetings. You can even bring in your own food. I thought what a great idea for a girls tea time and get together.

It is a woman owned business and the owner does the baking. A labor or love and clearly talented. Both she and the staff were gracious and accommodating.

I will go back again and feel like I have found a secret quiet hideaway in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Bayside“

“In a quest to find “REAL “ whitefish salad, I followed a friend’s suggestion and tried Cafe 17A. Amazing! This past weekend I tried several other salads- Vegetable Tuna, Chicken Salad, Egg whites and spinach, Egg salad and mushrooms and of course sliced Nova and home made cream cheeses. My guests raved! “Came to this place for their ube latte and it did not disappoint! Inside is pretty spacious. I went on a weekday morning and it was pretty quiet so perfect place to grab your computer and do some work. Their pastries are amazing as well! Great service, highly recommend“

“It’s more of a desert shop. Very tasty. The atmosphere is great too and very clean. The only down fall to the restaurant is the staff. Not welcoming at all and don’t greet you. I’m from out of country and I love to experience new places and I like to go back to restaurants that are friendly and warm, however, I won’t return here because of the staff lack of hospitality.“

“I had the pleasure to enjoy the food here at Toastique. The food was delicious, I tried the Spicy crab toast, it was the best tasty presentation of real crab meat with fine vegetables. The juices are healthy mixes of real fresh fruit. I tried the spicy Margarita, super tasty drink! The place is nicely updated, modern look, service was excellent, friendly and very welcome environment! Great place to enjoy some time with friends or family.“

“We passed by this popular store front with lots of people enjoying their treats and decided to get one ourselves.
The waiting line for the kiosk was longer than the delivery of the ice cream itself. The ice cream was fairly creamy and cold. The cone was crunchy as desired.
Matcha taste was a tad bit strong, but good for acquired taste.“

“Mr. Khalit is amazing! I stumbled upon his shop while i was waiting for my train at Kew Gardens station. It was extremely cold day and was around the shop’s closing time, yet he asked me to stay in his shop even though my train won’t be here for a while. Mr. Khalit is kindhearted and seems to love his job. I’m so glad I found this gem and definitely will visit again if I have the opportunity!“

“My visits are few and far between, because I don't drive. But everything I go, I'm with someone who has never been there, and they are always impressed by the massive selection, the taste, and the freshness. Gourmet express never disappoints. This time they had vegan carrot cake loaf, foccaicia, and olive bread loaf. I bought them all!!😊“

“Stopped by around 7pm after seeing great reviews and it did not disappoint. I got an ube iced latte and an espresso tonic even though it was pricey around $16 but both were amazing and better than other nearby cafés. After finishing the two drinks I went back up for two more drinks and ordered two ice matcha seltzers and those were just as good.

Harvey the barista the only one working at that time when we came in did an awesome job he was super patient, gave great recommendations, provided great service, and you can definitely tell he really knows what he’s doing.

He mentioned he usually works Fridays and weekends, so I’d definitely recommend stopping by when he’s there and having him make your drinks.

“Honestly parking here is HORRIBLE because it’s located in a shopping center with a few other businesses/ restaurants so I would say best to park outside the lot. I ended up parking 2 blocks away which was far for this area. The cafe is small and can easily be missed. They’re a lot of seating and wasn’t busy so service was quick. They’re blueberry matcha was a special and when I received it I didn’t think I would like it as much since I’m not a fan of anything with pulp and the blueberry had pulp bits but you can tell it’s super fresh. After my first sip I can’t wait to go back for more because it was THAT good. Probably the best blueberry matcha I’ve ever had. I love places like this - little hole in the wall spots that just slap! Would recommend but it is far from me so I would have to make the 25 min drive (without traffic) just for this cafe. Wish the matcha was a little stronger so I would probably do double matcha next time but it did work well with the recipe for the drink. Would highly recommend giving this a try. I saw they have strawberry matcha too so maybe I’ll get both next time“

“The Polo Lounge is such a great place! We were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and another couple was celebrating their 50th anniversary! The food was delicious! The portions are appropriate so you're not totally full before your main course even comes. The atmosphere is a fun. There's a lounge singer and couples dancing. It was lovely to watch and we were sitting in our booth. There was a wedding going on, but it did not bother the restaurant at all. We will be back every year for our anniversary after bring married at Westbury Manor. The staff, the food, and the atmosphere will keep us coming back!“

My dates kept changing and the team went above and beyond to accommodate me and my evolving schedule. My daughter LOVED going to the camp. “I had to leave a review after my last visit a few days ago because it was honestly the best experience I’ve ever had at Sobol. A girl named Alexis made my bowl, and it was hands down the best bowl I’ve ever gotten from here. Everything was made perfectly.

On top of that, Alexis had such amazing customer service. She was so friendly, patient, and genuinely sweet, which made the whole experience even better. You can really tell she cares about what she’s doing and about the customers.
