“Our 1st visit. Pros; great server who worked for every penny she made tonight. She ran the bar and the waited the tables. Cozy atmosphere, minus the bar noise. Food was good. Ordered a beef taco, sampler and a slice. We waited a bit longer than it should have taken for such a simple order but we were not in a hurry. Cons; Had we been in a time crunch.. I would have been very disappointed. The pizza sauce was way too sweet on the slice, and the slice was coldish and tasted old, the cheese was hard. Also the side sauces for the sampler platter are served in plastic cups and they are all cold. My son loves to dip his pizza logs and Mozzarella sticks in warm sauce.. I’m looking forward to returning to try something new. We live about 15 min away so it’s close enough. Side note: we met a man named Matt here tonight and he took our bill and paid it. Chatted with my son and I for a few minutes and was a genuinely nice guy! We tried to return the favor, but we will just pay it forward ❤️ Kindness is Contagious.. pass it on! Matt made our night.“

“Hilltop catered our wedding this past Saturday for over 200 people and it was absolutely incredible!!! We knew from our tasting that Hilltop was our winner! Everything was amazing; the display, the service, the ease and speed of the buffet and most importantly the food!!! We had people coming up to us all night raving about how this was the best food they have ever had at a wedding and people called and sent texts the next day still raving! Crystal is amazing and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a perfect celebration! We cannot thank Hilltop enough for helping us have the wedding of our dreams!“

“We always enjoy our trips to Shamus. We enjoy everything about the experience. Very pleasant people and excellent background music. My fish and chips was very good and they had no problem with a substitution. My wife ordered twin filets. We've found many restaurants are using tenderizer on their meat. No so here. The filets were outstanding. While there, we ordered the beef with Stout gravy to take out. It's been excellent at the restaurant, but the takeout was just marginal. The gravy was milky and the flavor rather bland. Hopefully they haven't changed the recipe from the rich brown stout gravy. That's the only reason the food didn't get five stars. WE aren't really dessert people, but in the past we've had no complaints on that front. Shamus is our home away from home for a great meal with really nice atmosphere.“

“Dined here for Mother’s Day. Let’s see what to have? I choose the sumptuous buffet. It started with shrimp salad with ice underneath. Then on to pancakes, bacon and sausage. I skipped cheese potatoes and frittata. Watermelon bowl of fruit so fresh-amazing. Next ham & ?? Forgot lol. Then beef, homemade - not salty , tater tots . Next my favorite turkey, homemade gravy , squash, Oh little croissant crab sandwiches, deviled eggs. Sure glad I looked it all over ahead of time as one could hardly sample everything here! Thought I was done, turned around to see cookies, mini muffins, Strudels in various flavors then mini cupcakes, and regular cookies in many kinds, oatmeal raisin, peanut, chocolate chip. Plus all the things I forgot. I was stuffed when I left. Only $30 bet I ate a whole turkey dinner putting breakfast and lunch aside as well as dessert. So worth it!! But wait when I first came in we were asked menu or buffet. We looked over buffet and then found there was prime rib king or queen, cut and then the chicken and biscuits and gravy!!! Now what??? I decided buffet Then because I love good food I asked for chicken & biscuit with gray To Go!! Sat down to enjoy all my choices.,0h my enough food for a family. My daughter was in same boat - way to much. We tried a lot but I have to say everything was delicious!!! Sunday was out of this world , I can only guess chicken and biscuits will be too. Well we have eaten here before. They have spaghetti- so good, seafood of all kinds, salads- you name it, they may have it. So nice eating outside when it’s a little warmer. So be sure to try this nice restaurant across from the park. You’ll be happy you did!! Open Fri, Sat, and Sunday. Call to see about Thursday. They told us ;but now not sure. Olcutt is a great place to visit, enjoy the park. Little shops, ice cream beautiful Lake Ontario and what a sunset. Weekends are best. Their homemade sauces are out of this world . I absolutely love this place and recommend to anyone with food allergies. “Listen here! I spent right at $50 getting my wife and I a burger and fries. We were very anxious to spend this much for 2 meals coming off of door dash in the first place. I was proven so wrong in my doubts. This was the ABSOLUTE BEST burger I have ever had from any restaurant. Hand made not frozen like I expected yet was proven wrong. Grilled perfectly! Fresh Veggies! And not a single mess up with the order.. my only gripes were as follows.. please put a warning on the door dash app when someone chooses to make it a double. Took everything to fit my mouth on the burger lmfao. And more fries .. we got a hand full or so .. but all in all you guys get my applause and high recommendation to any and everyone who wants a quality burger.“

“Been going to Sunny's for many years and will continue to do so. One of the best places to eat that Lockport has. Plus, if there's an issue with an order they always make it right. Today I had ordered a large cheese and pepperoni pizza. Got it home and it was super, SUPER thin. Like paper thin. I don't know if thin and crispy crust is an option, but if it is I'm guessing my order just got mixed up with someone else's. Anyway, I called Sunny's up, explained the situation and within 20 minutes a fresh and properly made replacement was waiting for me. That's great service!“

“Went to Applebee's 6/23/25. New manager, new employees and none of them are customer friendly. Asked for water w/lemon and after 20 minutes still did not have water. Asked to have the table rewashed as it was dirty, 15 mins later table still dirty. Ordered the bacon burger with applesauce instead of fries (no problems the last 2x I ordered the same meal) and the manager said no. When I told her I've gotten it previously she said it figures and rolled her eyes. She refused to let me get applesauce and we still didn't have our drinks so we got up and left. Table of 4 next to us sat 20 minutes and waitress still did not acknowledge them being there so they got up and left as well. If this is going to be the norm for the new management then I see them losing a lot of business.

Update 7/2/2025: new manager Mike contacted me regarding my negative review. He was apologetic and wanted to make it right. He asked me to come in again and give it another try so I did. The bacon cheeseburger was the juiciest one I ever had and I did get my applesauce. The waiter was very friendly, competent and attentive. I appreciate the issue being handled professionally and quickly so I will be going back again. Thank you so much Mike for giving me a way better experience!
