“Visited Medina and had the best fish fry! I grew up in Medina, and have fond memories of Rudy's from the late 80s. Visiting recently, we stayed at the Hart House Hotel across the street, and walked over for both dinner and breakfast the next day. Walking in, we were greeted by the same waitress I remember serving us back then! In a small way, you can go home again! I think this place would feel like home even if you weren't from Medina.“
“I'm not a fan of Medina. Sorry. I'm just not. Having grown up in small town America I'm completely over the "in the middle of nowhere" vibe small townships like this place throw off.One thing you can always count on in small town USA though is a family oriented restaurant that has excellent friendly quick service with a smile a bottomless cup of coffee and excellent "home cooked" meals. Captain Kidz does not disappoint and gives you this down home feel without even trying. The atmosphere is friendly and bustling. The staff is friendly and familiar (even if like myself you happen to be a complete stranger) and the food is superb. Nothing too fancy but fulfilling and priced just right. My favorite part is they're open early for the before work crowd. If you find yourself in near Medina NY Captain Kidz is definitely worth checking out. You'll enjoy the nostalgia (if you grew up small town) you'll leave full and it doesn't break the bank. 6 outta 5 stars for this place. My go to for breakfast while I'm trapped here.“
“Just recently met some coworkers here to grab a bite to eat and have a couple drinks after work. The atmosphere was awesome and felt very welcoming. The staff was very polite and made several stops to make sure our needs were fulfilled and showed great customer service. Great drink list and the pretzel appetizer with the beer butter was amazing.“
“Great spot for dinner. Service tonight was excellent. One of our favorite spots in our favorite town. Also, their house made sangria is simply amazing.Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options, and some dishes can be prepared vegetarian on request.Dietary restrictions: Asked for no cheese and they were able to accommodate.“
“First the place looks great when you walk in. Selection of drinks top notch. I like an Old Fashion and they have Weller's on hand so I recommend that. The bartender is excellent. The menu wow. I had the Deviled Eggs. What is so special about Deviled Eggs you ask? Order them, thank me later.I don't necessarily go to a restaurant like this for a Cheeseburger but there are exceptions and here is a place for that exception. As a special for dessert was a Bread Pudding, very nice.I do need to get back for the Friday night Fish Fry. Check out their hour's and go see them.“
“We had a fantastic dinner at the Country Club Family Restaurant! It was late and we missed out on the pot roast so I ate some breakfast! My friend sipped on some fantastic French onion soup and a grilled cheese sammich! Mackenzie was our waitress and was a delight! Fantastic service and the atmosphere was awesome! We throughly enjoyed our visit! Thank you!“
“I’ve been ordering from here since I was 15 years old. Me and my dear mother would always get a buffalo chicken pizza and watch a movie together. Hundreds of times this pizza has arrived, perfect and consistent. They have the Absolute best buffalo chicken I’ve ever had and I look forward to my next order.“
“I had an online order just now. And they didn't have the stuff in stock because it was a seasonal order. But they made sure that they compensated me correctly and efficiently. And they even held a decent conversation with me. About things that weren't even a Restaurant matter they were really looking out for my best Interest as a customer and as a local friend. I will always come to this pizzeria as a patron and as a friend. And they make me feel like family. So I guess I will come here as a part of the family LOL.They are really great people. They also own the greasy spoon restaurant in medinand a few other pizzerias around the area. And they are good people. I've Ben Visiting them for years. Thank you guys for all of the good service and good times.“
“We eat here every Friday night. They have a delicious fish fry and tonight I had on special corn beef and cabbage. There was enough served on my plate for almost 3 people. They have memorized our drink order and are so attentive during our meal for refill. we love them.“
“Our first time over to dine at the Alabama Hotel. We arrived at 2 PM and noticed for the time of day the parking lot had more then a few cars in the parking lot for time of day. This is a historical hotel which dates back to the 1800 and has been kept update and modernized. Handicapped acceptable which includes parking( a nice sized lot off street parking) as well as a handicap bar to get up a few stairs and wide enough for wheel chair. We were greeted by our server and she was the only server which kept up with at least ten tables as well as a continuous amount of people coming into the resturant. She greeted us with a smile and told us 2 pages of the menu were available as well as broiled fish and fish fry. Entree included a nice fresh salad bar also a side. Plenty of sides were included on the menu per choice. My partner and I both ordered the fish. He ordered broiled Cajun as for me the fried. My side was asperges which was scrumptious. A nice sized amount of asperges. They do not skimp. Salad bar was awesome! Fresh spring lettuce bread rolls macaroni salad Cole slaw beets a variety of dressings bacon bits etc. Soup is also available for a small charge. Menu offers prime rib chicken and dumplings a wide variety of fish and sea food and more for dinner. Alabama hotel also offers special brunch. Check out the fb page for more info. Thank you Alabama for a fine dining experience! We will be back“
“The best fish fry in town!! Generous portions delicious salads, French fries are to die for. The beer batter fish was phenomenal and the service was outstanding!! Will definitely go back and try their other foods!!Kid-friendliness: We took our 5 yr. old grandson and he said it was the juiciest and best cheeseburger ever!!“
“We dined at Harvest on January 29th and the restaurant was nearly empty. We had been there before when it was bustling so this was a shock. The food and the service were excellent and my date even commented that even though we were the only table (there were people eating at the bar) the quality and service remained exceptional. The menu was backlit which made reading the menu in low light easy!! Great feature!! We did not get a bottle of wine but ended up each having 2 glasses of the Malbec. We started with the bone marrow and scallop crudo app and it was presented and done very well. The lobster bisque and seasonal salad with roasted beets were excellent starters. I ordered the bolognese which was flavorful and meaty and everything bolognese should be. The rabbit makhani was an Indian curry which the waitress said was the chef's grandmother's recipe. It was outstanding. The server Marissa was friendly and attentive and just a pleasure to dine with. We had dessert and coffee and walked away happy and looking forward to our next visit.“
