“Very good food, my friend had the meatball bomber and I had the burger with swiss on rye. The coffee was good, the staff was very friendly and hospitable, and the fries were the best I've had in a while. All in all I was very pleasantly surprised at how full I felt and how tasty the food was. The burger was missing something, I couldn't quite say what (could be as simple as a dash of salt and pepper), but I would certainly have it again nonetheless.“
“Their food is good but customer service is lacking. In 7 months they have screwed up my order 3 different times. I order about once a month. I feel like I should have been compensated a little better for my inconvenience if they want return business. Not looking for a freebie. Carbone's in Alden does a much better job overall. Good food too.“
“When I'm in Buffalo or Rochester and go looking for wings, this is the kind of place that hits the mark! I took some coworkers here for dinner and everyone enjoyed! We were there for wings, but also shared the pizza rolls, cheese curds, and beef on weck. Order extra and save for tomorrow's lunch! And anyone who's not from the area...ranch is for salads and blue cheese is for wing dipping...:>)“
“The flavor was incredible and well thought out. Nothing was overpowering, seasoning was balanced and there was great portions that leaves plenty for snacking later. Price was great and given the flavor and portion it's an incredible value. I'd pay more, no question. Fresh too!The steak and it's seasoning was in particular very good. The steak rice bowl with lettuce, corn, pico, table queso, jalapeno and extras was so good that I'll definitely be ordering that again and was my favorite out of three items.Ordering was easy, I paid through the Toast ordering service and chose takeout to my car service. The food was ready within minutes of the estimated time and was handed over with care and friendly service. There's dedicated parking spaces for curbside pickup and a little waiting patio should you want to get out of the sun or rain. All in all, do yourself a favor and order from here. You won't regret it. They've earned a customer for life in me, that's for sure.Parking: Four dedicated curbside pickup options but plenty of other parking near by.“
“Loved this place! Very good food and atmosphere! If you're looking for a SIGN, this is the place to find it and inspiration too! Kinda corkey with the use of their tablet and ordering as some things cannot be customized with options. (Adding peppers & onions to an omelette). Outside of that, this place is perfect for a meeting, visiting with family or friends! ?? Definitely Kimmy-Sue Tested and Approved ??“
“This is hands down the best diner in the area!! You feel like you're walking into your mom's house to have some breakfast! Kim, the waitress is absolutely the sweetest and does a wonderful job of taking care of you! The feel of the place is so warm and inviting that you definitely will be at home! 90's Country music lightly plays in the background while you enjoy your meal! The food is absolutely amazing! had the mushroom omelette and it was made to perfection, so clean and well made! The potatoes are perfectly made, as wel! All in all, a wonderful stop to have a quick bite to eat!“
“New location, different vibe, but still a great atmosphere with delicious food. It's a pig place, but don't be fooled by the name. Vegetarians can eat very happily alongside their meat-loving family and friends. The Masala cauliflower risotto was lovely and satisfying. There is no rush and the staff are wonderful. Highly recommend for upscale dining. Definitely need to go back. Looking forward to getting through their menu.Parking: Crowded, but available.“
“Is it strange that my favorite restaurant is in a gas station? Charlie the butchers, located within the Marathon gas station on Main Street in East Aurora is spectacular. Not only do they have what you would expect, delicious roast beef on weck, they have delicious sides and daily specials like baked ham, meatloaf, corned beef, and prime rib. The service is fast and friendly - and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. It's just lovely.“
“Wow. My coworker knew about my love of French onion soup and insisted I make the trek from the north towns to this place. I can say, there wasn’t much reason for our family to travel to East Aurora after one of fav kids museums moved, but now I have a reason to make the haul! We stopped by here after taking our kid’s to a gym in the area and I’m glad we did. I’d say that this might be my favorite French onion soup on the basis of the rich flavors alone. My wife and I went back and forth comparing it to our number one. I felt this is a little less cheesy than my typical favorite (or maybe it was slightly more cooked than I’m used to) but the flavor of the broth and ingredients are the best. We weren’t ready for dinner so we just ordered the soups and got fries for the kids. My daughter was raving about the fries and the service. She kept saying “we have to come back.” I agree!“
“Food was absolutely amazing. The mashed potatoes are great. The portion size was impressive. Comfortable setting and nice waiter we had. He was very friendly and professional. We went on 3/16/24. First time there and can't wait to go back. I got the pork chop on the bone. It was amazing.“
“I keep asking myself why I don't come here more often. Over the years, I have never had a bad meal at this place. Plus, if you're just stopping for a drink, the bar has always been pretty fun - always a nice group of locals, down to earth folk here. The menu was a really good mix of options with plenty of choices for everyone, no matter what you're in the mood for. Located just a short hop outside of East Aurora, I always find it's worth my drive from Williamsville to do a little shopping in town and grab a lunch or dinner at Kodiak Jack's. My latest choice was the prime rib and stuffed hot pepper sandwich. It was some of the most tender prime rib I have ever had on a sandwich. Chicken wings were half price, so we started with wings as an appetizer to split between us. The wings had a nice light crisp on the outside, and were tender and juicy on the inside. Perfection. Portions are hardy, there's no skimping here. If you're looking for a new restaurant option and want to turn it into an afternoon, drive on out to East Aurora and see some of the most beautiful shops and have a lovely meal.“
“I walked into this place based on the high rating and I needed a cup of coffee after coming off the Thruway and I didn't want to go to a chain restaurant location. I walked in and, it wasn't busy, there was cute decor and classical music playing on the stereo. Bought a delightful selection of baked goods and coffee. I wish that this business existed in my neighborhood, I would spend quality time and money there. Will return on my next trip through!“
“Our first time. We're "locals". We will DEFINITELY be frequenting! Had the Shep' Pie. Let me just say, mmm mmm MMM! The beef just melted and the sauce was exquisite! The veggies were perfectly cooked and everything was seasoned JUST RIGHT! No extra salt OR pepper needed!!! Other party members ENJOYED the thinger tenders, and thinger sandwich. (* explanation below)Their list of sauces is just WOW! It can be found on the chalkboard on the wall. ;) The fries, fresh cut of course (delightfully, a common theme of the menu!) Soups were PIPING hot! Also very, VERY good! We will definitely return and sample other items. * - Thinger - the are fresh made and not prepackaged. Party members indicated it was dark meat (thighs) or maybe a 50/50? I can not personally attest to that.“
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The Lion and Eagle Pub is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a cozy, welcoming haven filled with character and charm. The ambiance is unbeatable, with warm lighting, comfortable seating, and an inviting atmosphere that's perfect for unwinding after a long day. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready with a smile and a recommendation from their impressive selection of drinks and dishes. Speaking of which, the food is absolutely delicious – each dish is prepared with care and bursting with flavor. Whether you're craving classic pub fare or something more adventurous, The Lion and Eagle Pub has something to satisfy every palate. Add in live music nights and special events, and you've got the recipe for an unforgettable experience. I can't recommend this place highly enough – it's truly a five-star establishment in every sense of the word!“
“I have made it to order Cubans wherever I go, it's one of my favorite sandwiches. The Cuban Melt at Rookies today was among the best I've ever had. If not the best, a close 2nd. I wasn't even planning on stopping this afternoon for food, but as we were walking by decided to stop in. So glad we did. The server was great. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area!“
“Took my family here for late night ice cream. Ordered up and my oldest daughter drops her ice cream two minutes after getting it . Well the ladys asked what happened and gladly gave our daughter free ice cream .very nice of them ? .Kid-friendliness: Replaced my daughter's ice cream she dropped free of charge .“
“Nice family owned bistro.Went here for my anniversary in this place did not disappoint. My wife is vegan and they had multiple great options. We started off with the vegan arancini which was like a fusion of Italian and Asian in particular reminded me of sushi rice. Then I had a wonton soup that had nice firm wontons that were pretty well sized. My wife had a vegan pasta that was made with cauliflower but had a Alfredo type consistency and she was thoroughly pleased. Had the hollow burger with the egg on a pretzel bun which was a good burger but was absolutely filling. Highly recommend trying this place out“
“My favorite place for a sub, I get one every time I can get over to Akron. I hope they never change the recipe for the sub oil they use. It's one of the best aspects of the subs here! This has been my favorite sub and sandwich place since I was a kid. Highly recommend a trip out here to get one of their famous subs with that spectacular sub oil they make specially in house.Vegetarian options: Have meatless optionsKid-friendliness: Have kid sized mealsParking: Parking lot in front of buildingWheelchair accessibility: Door wide enough for a wheelchair to get throughDietary restrictions: Has gluten free rolls for the subs if you have Celiac or a gluten free diet“
“We chose Byrncliff as our venue for our baby girl’s baptism and we couldn’t have been happier. It was a central location for all of our family members between Buffalo and Rochester. Everyone loved the breakfast buffet and a week later are still talking about the great celebration Byrncliff helped us plan!“
“First time here. Very nice menu. Comfortable dining area. Food was very good. Server was great. Prices were very reasonable IMO. Suicidal wings could have used some more but they were good! Wife really loved the fried bologna sandwich and pub chips. Will be back to explore some other menu options...“
“Employees are friendly and helpful... Food was awesome in every aspect (quality and presentation)... Nice comfy atmosphere...Parking: Plenty of free parking.. Safe and well litWheelchair accessibility: The whole facility was on the ground floor“
“Excellent food! I loved the food. It was made to perfection. The beef was cooked as requested and served warm. The mashed potatoes were as good as other places should have been. (Seriously how hard is it to mash potatoes?) The service is what I expected to be for a restaurant of this caliber and target audience.“
“When I first parked I wasn't sure whether it was open so I tried the door. I entered into a classic country store with that 70s charm that I wasn't expecting. I was looking for a simple meal that I could walk out with. The woman offered me the menu and there were some handwritten signs of specials. I opted for a Turkey sub that was made to order right at the side counter. All of the ingredients were fresh and the price was just right. I walked around for a minute or two and saw options for purchase such as handmade soaps, packaged candies, chocolates and even puzzles. A cute little place!“
“Place was packed but we were seated rite away, few minutes for waiter to come over, super busy so whev, he was super friendly and attentive, food came out in a timely manor and was excellent, was offered coffee refills many times by multiple servers which is almost unheard of any more. Super experience! Will definately be back!!!“
