“Was just here and was refused service. there were two booths open. An older woman came to me and asked if I wanted a small table that’s jammed between the counter and booths or a counter seat. I said a booth would be fine. She refused to seat me at a booth stating that they were saved. so I walked out!!Now up Beans Hill at Dennys and about to have a delicious breakfastProb won’t be patronizing Water St again!!“
“Ok, it is a Denny's!When you go to Denny's, you expect a certain taste and level of service. Some shine and some suck. This one shined. The food, service, and atmosphere are good. Our server, even though tired from the breakfast rush, was attentive. The food was fast and correct at the start. Even the coffee was good. The only thing I didn't like about this restaurant was the way in. It is on the corner of a shopping center block and I had to go through lots of parking lot to get parked. Then, parking is tight.“
“Very old-fashioned type diner.Only accepts cash. They have a jukebox on the tables.I was recommended the loaded waffle fries, so I went just to try them (along with a raspberry iced tea), and they were very delicious.Very homey, and the staff are friendly. They make sure you're satisfied with the food and offer refills before you're halfway done with your drink.“
“Everything was wonderful from the moment we walked in. This is a family-run business with genuine people who make delicious food. We’re from NJ and have high standards for diners and our experience was so wonderful. The coffee was excellent. Great for a quick stop among your travels in FLX!“
“Worth the drive off I-90!!My boss and I were driving back to Massachusetts from Buffalo. We were looking for a diner for breakfast, specifically. I saw the reviews for this place and pointed us in that direction. Halfway through the 15 or so minute drive, my boss asks "Where are you taking us?" I have to admit, I was wondering myself. It's a very "open" country. Lots of large fields and farms. We get to the place and we see a sign inside that says something to the effect of, "If you want fast, go to Denny's." That worried me a bit because my boss was already worried about our travel timeline but the place was packed, so I figured it had to be worth the wait.It took close to 10 mins to get someone to take our order but it was all absolutely worth it. Every single item we ordered was HOT off the griddle. My bacon was so hot (and I was so hungry) that I almost burned my tongue. The Belgian Waffle was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of strawberry topping. No more, no less. Everyone has their particular way of cooking home fries. Some places they're a bit soggy, others are over cooked. These were cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, and well seasoned. The place isn't fast but hey, like they said, it's not Denny's. Their food blows the doors off anything I've ever gotten there. My boss declared "It was worth the drive off the highway! Our food was cooked where you could watch it being cooked and it was all excellent." She told me that if I wrote a review of the place to be sure to say it was worth the drive. Easily the best diner food I've had in some time and we spend a lot of time in diners.“
“Can’t praise this restaurant enough ❣️❣️❣️The Star Diner is the best restaurant between Geneva and Waterloo. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious and prices are right for seniors who are on fixed income. ❤️“
“I'm an ER nurse and came in for breakfast after a busy shift. Waitress made me a fresh pot of decaf coffee so I'd be able to go home to sleep. Very nice, clean place. Great lake decor. Service was fast (but not in a pushy, get out the door kind of way). Food was EXCELLENT. Potatoes with green pepper and onions, topped with a delicious, tender steak and 2 poached eggs then drizzled with hollandaise sauce. Little accent of tasty sprouts too! It was absolutely delicious. Brownie and cinnamon bun to-go which we thoroughly enjoyed later in the day............We will be back!!“
