“Oh boy where do I start Love sweet mandarin was very nice restaurant/ hibachi restaurant and very happy ambiance and the staff was wonderful. Everything taste so good from appetizers to drink and hibachi dinner for 3 adults and a child. Chef was excellent and very funny love it there. “My family and I celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday with a dinner for ten at Tiger Sushi in Great Neck today, and it was a truly spectacular experience!

We decided to keep things easy and celebratory by ordering three of the restaurant's party platter dishes to share. This was a fantastic decision. The quality was super across the board. Every piece of sushi, sashimi, and every roll was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. You could tell that the fish was of the highest grade, practically melting in your mouth.

The platters were not only generous in portion but also artfully arranged, making our table look incredibly festive. Even with our large group of ten, the three platters provided more than enough variety and food for everyone to enjoy their fill.

From start to finish, the food was the highlight—authentic, fresh, and exceptionally high quality. If you're looking for a special place to celebrate a milestone with a large group, or just want to enjoy some truly great Japanese cuisine, Tiger Sushi is highly recommended. “My wife and I had a great experience at Masaaki and truly enjoyed almost everything about it. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the space was clean and thoughtfully designed, and the overall vibe made it a great place to enjoy a meal.

The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was perfect and clearly made with quality ingredients. We especially enjoyed the yaki oysters.

Service once we were seated was excellent. Our servers were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the meal.

The only downside was the experience with the front desk host. At the beginning and as we were leaving, there was no smile, no greeting and no “bye.” That lack of warmth really stood out, especially since everything else in the restaurant was handled so well. It felt unwelcoming and unprofessional and took away from what was otherwise a near-perfect visit.

Overall, the experience was almost perfect. I would absolutely return and recommend this restaurant, and with a more welcoming presence at the front desk, it would easily deserve a full 5-star rating.“

“It was a wonderful experience , considering it is my first time. We had to wait a few minutes to get our table for 4 but that’s okay! The employees were super nice and went out of their way to pull and extra table for us. I loved the authentic atmosphere. The lighting, decor, and the overall feeling of the restaurant was great! And amazing food. My family loved what we ordered and the matcha cheesecake for dessert was so good! Compliments to the chef! I could definitely see myself coming back here again, whether alone or with family or friends. Well done, Nippon Cha!“

“I chose the sushi deluxe, and I guess it’s similar to an omakase style. They told me it would be 9 pieces with one roll, and honestly, all the selections were great. The fish was very fresh and high quality. I was also really impressed by their service.

As an anime fan, I enjoyed the atmosphere very much, ramen is a common reoccurring meal in the anime Naruto, which is prominently used for decoration

They also have the largest portion of pork chashu I have ever had and It was delicious and chared to perfection“

“I love coming here but this is the first time I've been really disappointed. I ordered their tartar and typically a restaurant gives you chips to eat with it, but they gave three Pringles for the large amount of tartar, which is really unreasonable and when I asked for more they gave exactly 3 again. So while I would return, I would never order that again. “

“The quality of food is truly so good. Hand rolls are stuffed and each bite of fish is so buttery and fresh. I couldn’t really taste the difference between sushi places until coming here and now I can’t go back. Chef kama and chef komodo’s craftsmanship shows. For kitchen entrees, there hasn’t been one thing I’ve tried that’s bad and just a great variety of selection. I’d definitely come any days besides Saturdays or at least before 8pm on Sat to avoid the rush.“
