Wines are the star - so many to choose of high quality by the glass. Wish they had more flights on the menu. I think the food was the biggest surprise. It was very good and it does not play second fiddle to the wine. Garlic shrimp had a nice kick; fried calamari was on point; and short rib sliders were tasty. Will definitely return for other plates and the charcuterie boards. One drawback was the service - while super friendly, we felt they let you sit a little too long before taking orders.“
“The Cove Restaurant is located in Glen Cove. There is both a restaurant and an outdoor bar. If I remember correctly, they have live music on weekends. It is a very cool and elite place. “This place is going to be a favorite of mine in 2024. I recently celebrated my birthday at Harrison during brunch. The service was exceptionally attentive and personal. The food was fantastic with ample portions with left-overs tasing just as good as when dined. The music was classic rock with a lot of great classic americana portraits and photos of nostalgia. The staff was particularly attentive to our needs and we never had to wait. I can't reiterate how impressed I was with this restaurant. I must also add that the prices are very reasonable for what you get. The Harrison is five stars.“

Johnny the bartender is a great guy and a class act and a really attentive bartender. The service is great here and you never wait a long time to get a drink no matter how many people are there. Everyone was warm, not snobby, and went above and beyond to make my sister's birthday brunch enjoyable for my family. The food focuses on spotlighting the local ingredients and isn't overly fancy. My favorites were the hot fried chicken sandwich, the deconstructed eggplant parm appetizer, and the spaghetti with tomato sauce off of the kids menu (could have used a touch of salt but I think they underseasoned on purpose because it's for kids). The only dish that was pretty underwhelming was the shrimp and grits, which was kind of bland. The decor is also so tasteful and I felt transported to a fancy farmhouse somewhere on the coast of Rhode Island or something. I'll definitely be back!“

I came in on a rainy Saturday night and enjoyed the cozy, welcoming vibe. The only thing I will say is that the seating is a bit tough. The couches are low, the high top tables aren't inviting, and there is no foot rail if you sit at the bar. While this is not a deal breaker for me, it might be for some so it is worth the mention.“

Mary had taken my information on the phone and all was prepared when we arrived. Her greeting and treatment of us made my guests think we were special indeed despite my never having met her before. My husband is in a wheelchair and special attention was paid to where we were seated so that all were comfortable. The table, near the front window, was spacious and comfortable with wonderful lighting. The food was excellent as it always is. We had two of the special appetizers, the asparagus soup and the artichokes which were very good. For dessert, management provided a chocolate bread pudding with a candle which we proceeded to devour. Didn't have time to take a picture, because we ate it so fast. By prearrangement, the bill never came. Mary simply pressed the receipt into my hand as she handed me my take "home bag". My children were truly surprised by the seamless exchange.
