If you’re anywhere near the Kadampa Buddhist Temple, make World Peace Café part of your Sunday ritual—you won’t regret it.

Start your morning with a peaceful walk through the many paths around the temple grounds—whether it’s a short 5-minute walk or a 40-minute nature hike, the surroundings are absolutely breathtaking and grounding.

From 2 to 3 PM every Sunday, there’s a World Peace Meditation Free and open to all. It’s the kind of reset your soul didn’t know it needed.

Then, treat yourself at World Peace Cafe—a peaceful café nestled in front of a serene pond. Whether you sit inside or outside, the atmosphere is calming, and the drinks are phenomenal. My favorites are the chai latte, the long fog, and hands down the best turmeric latte. Pro Tip: You can have them all cold.

Make sure you don’t leave without trying the vegan sweet potato brownie 🤤 and the World Peace muffin—both are vegan and absolutely delicious. There’s also Wi-Fi if you need to catch up on anything while soaking in the views.

“Love Katery to go! I order a few times a month if not a few times a week and the food never disappoints! Love the daily specials, lots of yummy options. My favorite is the Greek pita or the Mexican street corn wrap special. But the Grilled Chicken BLT, Ceaser Salad, Burgers & Chicken wings on the regular menu are also amazing (just to name a few). The young people working always seem like they are enjoying themselves, and the strawberry/peanut butter milskakes is The Bomb (my family says the other stuff is delicious, too!).
