“Maria’s Sans Rival cake lives up to the meaning of its name, undoubtedly unrivaled. It was made of sheets of chewy meringue loaded with crunchy cashew nuts, alternating with thick layers of “melt-in-your mouth” buttercream. Glad it was not too sweet that I was able to enjoy large servings of this delightful dessert. Great with coffee or tea.“

“I was looking everywhere for a bakery that could do a matcha flavored birthday cake for my boyfriend’s birthday and the team at Les Gateaux de Marie was so amazing and accommodating. Everyone loved the cake and couldn’t stop talking about it, the cake was perfectly sweet, light and airy, and all of the staff were SO KIND. Will be back again and again! “I’d long oogled over Lucie’s Instagram account and finally I got to visit the bakery irl earlier this week and it didn’t disappoint. A cozy and charming spot with ofcourse beautiful AND delicious cakes. The fromage frais icing was so light and the perfect pairing to the carrot cake. I also loved the earl grey icing on the sponge cake-so inventive and not too floral, just right. Also it’s worth noting that the bakers in the kitchen looked very happy working there which says a lot I think. Hard recommend going here for a slice of calm and something scrummy in the city. Oh and the cappuccinos are so light and frothy! Can’t stop raving x“

“Small café, but very bright, clean, and airy. There was was a small loveseat, a couple barstools, one or two cafe tables with 2 seats, a bench with a cushion and 3 café tables out on the sidewalk. Came in about 1:30pm, and were greeted warmly. Almost all of the pastries were gone, but the cheese with fig danish and the plain croissant they had left were good. We also tried the matcha lemonade, strawberry matcha and a hot black sesame latte. I liked the sesame latte A LOT, the strawberry was good, and I personally hated the lemonade, but that is a personal preference thing. The good thing about it is it isn't too sweet, but it was heavy on the matcha, so it tasted like liquid grass to me. I definitely like nuttier sencha tea better. The prices were average for the area, and since everything is pricey now, it is what it is.

There were other patrons there, busily working and looked like they had been there for quite a while, which tells me it may be a good place to sit and focus for an hour or two.

My party of three sat outside and because it is located in a predominantly residential area, it was a nice place to sit since there aren't tons of pedestrians. There were a few bees/wasps though, so we had to leave after a bit(highly allergic). There were also mosquitos and lantern bugs around--I suspect there is some standing water on a roof nearby.

I will definitely walk over here again to get that sesame latte, and maybe stay and pretend looking productive. But I'll definitely come back.“

“My sister was having a beach chic baby shower because her and her husband do not want to know the gender. She wanted cupcakes that looked like succulents that also taste delicious. I immediately thought of Huascar and asked if he could do it. I traveled to Florida with them and they were a hit. I can’t describe how beautiful they look and I can tell you the taste of theses cupcakes were out of this world. Everyone was contacting my sister afterwards to see where she’d got them. 😋😋😋“

Tangy Raspberry preserves made from scratch by Jaclyn as well between the layers. “Ordered a coconut cloud cake a week ago for my in-laws 35th wedding anniversary. It was the best gluten and dairy free cake I’ve ever had. You wouldn’t even know that it wasn’t a regular cake. You taste the quality of the ingredients and the love they put while cooking them. The fact that Carrie was answering me while the business is close is a sign that she’s passionate and that she care about her client. They’re on the expensive side compared to other bakery, but once you compare you understand why… You taste the butter in everything! “Everything I’ve tried here has been delicious. The ham and cheese croissant was amazing even cold. The chocolate chip cookie had the perfect salty-sweet balance. I don’t even like blueberries, but their blueberry bun with cream cheese frosting was so good I had to pause. The blondie was soft and rich and just right.
