“During my vacation to the Thousand Islands area, a friend recommended this bakery. It was a half hour from the hotel I was staying at, but I made it my mission to try there one of the mornings I was in the area. It didn't disappoint!I ordered cinnamon rolls, a raspberry brownie, a flavored latte, and some breakfast sandwiches. Everything was delicious! Prior to going, I was unsure if they served coffee beverages, and they DO! I took some pictures of the beverage menu and flavor selection, in case a fellow coffee drinker is headed this direction.Don't forget to check the cooler BEHIND the register, which is where I found apple cider!There was plenty of seating inside, but I opted to take my goodies to go. The lady who served us was so kind and friendly. I think the service can really set the tone for a cafe, and she set a tone that was warm & welcoming. I will definitely come back, next time I'm in the area!”

“When you visit Gouverneur, eating at the caz is a must. The food will always be good and service is excellent. Very friendly family owned and operated. You will always leave here full. We enjoy lunch and dinner at the caz. They have a bar here too. Bartenders are excellent and you will meet some awesome people too!”

“Pretty good little mom and pop pizza shop they have a pretty good menu but mostly pizza, and I get to try everything they do have subs and other items i'm looking forward to trying to garlic knots. Restaurant is clean with a little area to sit there is also a restroom. Pizza is decent, there hours are little different. There are open from 11 till 1 then 4/8pm so make sure you get early for lunch. But check it out. I'm sure you won't be disappointed and it sure is great to support local.”

“I recently worked a wedding at Harbor Brewing for an outside caterer and was very impressed with the staff (great bartenders!), facilities, and ambiance. The happy couple and their guests all seemed to have had a wonderful evening and throughly enjoyed the selection of drinks offered by the venue. In talking with the attendees (and from clearing their empty glasses) it was clear they found the quality of that selection far exceeded the run of the mill menu available elsewhere. Moreover, the bartenders did an great job keeping the lines short, the beverages fresh, and although I unfortunately wasn’t able to banter with them myself every guest walked away from their interactions with a smile on their face. The area in which the event took place was both spacious and beautifully decorated/styled. The brewery’s aesthetic is tasteful and the layout allowed for plenty of room for the crowd to dance and mingle. Personally I thought the wall of whiskey barrels was a brilliant addition - wether it was simply meant as storage or a design element chosen specifically for the look it really brought the room together. This may seem like a weird feature to bring up but having worked tons of weddings at dozens of venues over the years I always take note of the restroom accommodations in an event space because as a party progresses underperforming in this arena can create a ton of problems. Here the bathrooms not only fit the theme (extra points for the keg urinals!) but were kept clean and easily accommodated the parties needs. Finally, the venue is located in Lake Villa’s downtown area somewhat near the train station with plenty of parking for guests available on site as well as near by on Cedar street. Finding the building was no trouble at all and leaving when the event was over was hassle free. Altogether Harbor Brewing is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a space to host an event; a beautiful venue with some wonderful staff pouring outstanding beer will make for a night you and your friends won’t soon forget.”

“I normally don't write reviews about McDonald's but we were on a big road trip and we stopped in to get some food. We wanted to get out of the heat get out of the car so we decided to dive in, I get something I normally do not do at McDonald's. The service from the young lady was amazing, I felt like I was at a five star restaurant the way she treated us. I know it sounds crazy but if you want some good service pay this McDonald's a visit because they have a young lady who works the front counter that is a superstar ! The main purpose of this review is so that the management at this particular location acknowledges what a great employee they have!”
