Tried out a new local thai favorite at the recommendation of my wife. Nice calming decor reminding me of teak wood architecture in Thailand. In the center is a colorful large cloth lantern chandelier that gives the restaurant a calm ambience, like you're walking through a market with sun shining down on multi colored shade sails. This and the thai music was truly immerse.

The food and service are wonderful!
The restaurant is quiet around dinner time (6:30pm Friday night), has good vibe, nice decor. Soft shell crab entree, scallops appetizers and Shrimp Pad Thai were what my party of two ordered. They all tasted great but the portions were disappointing. I may come again if I need to entertain important guests but probably cannot come frequently due to costs and disappointing portions.

Gasalong Thai Restaurant and Bar is a Thai restaurant with calming decor that reminds of teak wood architecture in Thailand. In the center is a colorful large cloth lantern chandelier that gives the restaurant a calm ambience, like walking through a market with sun shining down on multi colored shade sails. This and the thai music was truly immerse. The food is excellent and authentic, reminding of time in Thailand. The spice level is perfect, enough to give the sweats, but not too much that you can't continue eating. The lunch specials come with a small salad or salad, and an appetizer (dumplings, spring rolls, or scallion pancake). The spring rolls are crispy and the dumplings are full of meat. The restaurant is quiet around dinner time, has good vibe, nice decor. Dishes include masamman curry, green curry lunch specials, soft shell crab entree, scallops appetizers, Shrimp Pad Thai, Thai crepe dumplings, pad thai with chicken, duck tamarind, soft shell crab tamarind, and mango sticky rice. The portions were disappointing. The service is warm, welcoming, great, and kind, with servers who are very kind and never a long wait for food. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and the vibes were very pleasant. The cuisine seemed like an upscale Chinese style Thai - the flavors didn't seem totally Thai - although still very good. Very good, authentic thai food with authentic thai spice: mild = 🌶️🌶️, medium = 🌶️🌶️🌶️, hot = ☠️. Come during their weekday lunch hours for a great deal on an appetizer+entree. Such a lovely restaurant with a welcoming staff and an extensive menu.
