Only spanish food around and it was delicious. However given how small the place is and that the small menu options are written on a wall (no physical menus) I was disappointed when I asked for the rice and beans to be substituted for cassava which was also on the menu so I had to settle for the rice and beans. Not much customer service. (Ambiance gives working men on breaks, who you might get offered free beer from)
Got a beef burrito & an assortment of papusas. Delicious. The burrito was fat and stuffed with quality ingredients. But the papusas! Perfectly fried and generously filled with cheese, beans, pork, and spinach. This place is an authentic Salvadoran home dining experience. It is NOT touristy. It is not trying to reel in hipsters, tourists (like me), or the Hamptons crowd. It exists to serve the local Central American community, so enter with appropriate expectations. A small but authentic Latin American restaurant. The conversation you hear on the menu is also in Spanish.The interior and atmosphere are not good at all, but the taste of the food is good, and the volume is quite large, so I took it out because I couldn't finish it.
