“The store is aptly named and was indeed a 'Joy' to visit. After losing the Italian deli in Saratoga that I've patronized for many years to a buyer from Albany that doesn't even answer the phone, I began a search for a true Italian deli. When I walked into La Gioia I knew I had found what I was looking for. The aroma of Italy in the air, the hustle bustle of a staff serving with professional knowledge, courtesy, and a neat and clean appearance so rare today, and shelves and cases filled with all the Mediterranean delicacies imaginable, made me realize the true gem I discovered. This was a wonderful epiphany for me; I smiled all the way home 30 miles away.“

I thought they would be good based on reviews and pictures, but not this good!
I got the Roma and creamy chicken and rice soup and it was delicious ?
They also have gluten free bread, which is greatly appreciated!
This is easily one of my favorite sandwich places around.“

“This is my local Bodega and honestly I absolutely love it! Super close to my home and it's always very clean in there. The owner is super nice themselves and I highly recommend it if you need a quick snack or drink or cigarettes or even novelty candy items that are highly affordable and cute“
“Neighborhood isn't "up to par" but that isnt their fault, really a friendly place and the neighborhood isnt all that bad as long as you aren't judgmental. If you're there to shop and not make a scene, ur in the green.“

“When they say "Reddy's", they mean it! I placed a large order and it was "Reddy" in no time. Haha. Good service and a nice atmosphere. With the new brewery and taproom opening next door it's time for another visit.“
