“Cozy diner with classic styling. The food is good and the staff is friendly. I got chicken parm and spaghetti off of the senior discount menu and it was quite tasty. I came with a hearty cup of soup, rice pudding for desert, and a coke. All in all, good food at a good price.“

“A clean bright space. It doesn't have that "diner vibe.", but it makes up for it in the diner style food. It looks like it used to be a different type of restaurant. (another yelper mentioned a steakhouse. ). They used to serve alcohol, but they do not anymore. Everybody was friendly. We ordered to go. My partner and I both had the chicken, avocado and cheese, omelette, and instead of potatoes we asked for fruit. It came with toast, we chose rye. Everything was delicious. The fruit was fresh. The omelette was large. Plus, they were very generous with the fillings. The avocado was creamy, and the chicken was tender. The cheese was also good. It was real cheddar cheese. They did not over butter the toast .My partner got through most of her omelette, but not all of it. I finished mine, but barely. The total tab for both of us was extremely reasonable. “I just moved to Catskill; a mile up the road from this fine establishment. After unpacking, my friend and I stopped into Mike's Diner and my initial experience was a feeling of comfort. The rustic atmosphere gave me a sense of warmth and nostalgia. People at the barstool countertop were eating breakfast; conversating amongst themselves while the families and friends at the tables joyfuly did the same. The smell of fresh coffee, eggs, bacon, ect, felt like I was truly home.Much respect to the cook; the food was absolutely AMAZING. The waitresses as well. They were very kind, professional and persistent in providing the best service they could, which was more than enough.ALSO, Mike's prices are VERY reasonable and affordable to treat the family.
