Nice lake front dinner
Best lake side view. Amazing sunset watching opportunity. The restaurant is nicely designed so that all seating is by the windows or by the lakeside. They do not take reservations. The food taste was average. Good seafood options. In our group some received their order after others finished theirs. I would go there again for the lake and sunset view.
We did not have any wait time; we ordered takeout and the service was what we expected it to be.

Hoak's Lakeshore Restaurant, a Hamburg favorite for generations, offers a true Buffalo experience with a lovely view of the lake and big comfy booths. The place is known for consistently good, pub style food, cold beer, and a friendly atmosphere, including the best view of the sunset on Lake Erie. The chowder, fish and chips, hamburgers, and wings are perfect, with the wings described as insanely good—crispy, saucy, and way better than the so-called "claimed original." The hoak burger was called the best burger ever by one guest. There are very generous portions. The staff is genuinely wonderful, friendly, and fast, and the bartenders engage guests in great conversation. The vibe is fantastic for tourists, open year-round, and always buzzing with energy. Parking is super easy with a free, large attached lot right off the main road. Guests can expect great conversations and that classic Buffalo/Southtowns charm. Don't skip the wings.
