“My wife and I came here for the first time a few evenings ago (Thursday). We made reservations ahead of time, and the restaurant basically expects this. While the restaurant has a very nice selection of wines, we brought our own special bottle as we were celebrating a special occasion (the restaurant does charge a corking fee). We were greeted by the friendly hostess and seated immediately at a table for two towards the back. Our server, Ellie, arrived quickly and, observing our bottle, brought us wine glasses and a bottle tray. She was excellent all evening. For a starter, we ordered the grilled asparagus from the "small plates" menu. This was delicious. As a main dish, my wife ordered the baked Idaho trout while I ordered the pork ribs and polenta. All were very tasty, and the presentation was appetizing. Portions were just right. All in all, we enjoyed our special evening, and the service was excellent; attentive, without hovering. We will be back. I gave "Atmosphere" only four stars due to the rather noisy dining room, making it sometimes difficult to be heard, possibly due to acoustics and the fact that part of the kitchen area is right in the dining room.“
“Food was generally great. The seafood tower was a little salty probably due to the parmesan. Last time we had the lobster ravioli which was wonderful! Fresh made ravioli with lots of lobster meat. And lobster claws included in a butter sauce. Yum! French onion soup was great too! Found the roasted red pepper soup was slightly tart. It was nice that the owner walked around and talked to the patrons.“
“My family came in today and had an amazing time. The food, service and atmosphere were phenomenal. Jen was our server, she was kind and our coffee cups were never empty! This was right off the high way so we were able to get some food on the way to see a traveling show of Les Mis. The specials board was amazing! So many options with homemade bread! “Some great points & some that need improving. GREAT service & aesthetic to start out, but no bread for the table. We got oysters which were fresh, ice cold & perfectly clean, but no cocktail sauce or a spoon or anything to get the mignonette sauce. Our steaks (strip and a ribeye) were cooked medium rare as we requested. But there was no truffle butter flavor on the strip and the Ribeye was SO garlicy it was near off-putting. The potatoes we still pretty raw and hard inside which was a shame because they had great flavor. The asparagus had a nice light char & they were still crisp. So overall, not an awful meal but there could definitely be some tweaks.“
“This is a small neighborhood bistro and brewery with good food. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. There is a well rounded selection of beer from IPAs to sours and seasonal beers. The tortilla chips , sandwich rolls, and pizza are all made in houseThere's a free public parking lot across the street. We enjoyed the hand cut chicken fingers in our stinger sandwich.“
“Just like I remembered it when I lived in Hamburg in the 70's. This was a favorite of my parents and remember going when I was a little girl. One of our first stops when we were visiting Buffalo. Amazing hot dogs and fries, so happy I got to go back and experience this again!“
“We had a great Anniversary dinner last night at Rodney's. I ordered broiled scallops dinner and Hubby ordered Chicken Supreme sandwich. Both portions were generous and delicious! We are enjoying the leftovers for lunch today. Nice bar tenders and waitress! We go here for most of our special events like Birthdays and Anniversary. A quality gem by the lake in Hamburg NY!“
“Had drinks at the bar and then dinner. I had the Ribeye steak with a baked potato and my friend had a full rack of ribs. My steak was perfect - medium rare and my friend could have just ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs. They were so tender, falling off the bone. Since it was my birthday dinner, I had a creme brulee. It was delicious! I recommend the Waterstone for couple dinners or large groups. I promise you won't be disappointed!“
“Today a large group of us went for brunch. Many of us had been in the restaurant business over the years and know the challenges of a big table. Our waitress Erica whet above and beyond to make our experience special. She not only was an amazing waitress but she took our group photo and gave us all glitter to celebrate St. Pattys day. “Food was unexpectedly amazing. We went for Thursday night "Steak night"Delicious. Wings were also on point. Very clean new looking interior. Ample parking. They have a different food special every night. Definitely will be back. Also not 1 to rave about a salad (I'm a spring mix guy) the side salad was bomb if you like mixed greens“
“Grrrrrrr8 food served by a super friendly staff in a homey diner atmosphere. Had children and waffles with 2 eggs, hash Browns and spicey maple syrup. Gotta go back to try another one of the delicious sounding menu items. Plus they know how to brew McCullough coffee!“
