“We love Trailsides so when I was planning a Birthday dinner for my Husband it was a no brainer that we would celebrate there. I reserved an area in the back which was the perfect spot for our party of 20. Our server Christine was a rockstar! Kept all the food orders straight, and kept the drinks coming! The bartender Tanya beyond helpful with all my questions about setting up, decorations etc. We had a lot of Blue Jays fans with us so she made sure the game was on the big screen next to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better night. Thank you Trailsides ?“

“So how would I describe Big Texas? A country music bar, a dive bar, a great place for lunch? I'd say all of the above. I hear they have great live music on weekends. The look of the interior and the locals all hanging out on the front deck both give the dive bar feel. Add to this the great lunch we had, and it's a combination. I had lunch with a few friends. The menu isn't huge. Just enough choices plus daily specials. All sandwiches came with cole slaw and fries, though I didn't see that mentioned on the menu. I ordered the fish and chips. Also at my table was BBQ chicken, corned beef, and the Canadian bacon special. My fish had a crunchy exterior over nice flakey fish. The fries appeared to be fresh cut. I'd have to say the cole slaw was different, in a good way. The cabbage was very thinly shaved with a light dressing and topped with tomato & pepper slices. Overall, the food and service were both good. Also, keep in mind if going there from the US that these are Canadian prices. Very reasonable! Final note. Check the top of the building out front. Might bring back memories for some. Remember King Edward?! :) 2923-92“

“We tried this spot for the first time, and it was delicious. The food was so fresh! The crab cakes are definitely a must try along with the stuffed peppers! ? they both were dishes that were unique and had their own kick to it. The grilled fish tacos were also a healthy, tasty option as well. Edit: My only recommendation is to go when the chefs are present and serving, if you are going for their food.“

I was SO IMPRESSED by the services. It just seems lately (post covid) that people don't know what the service is anymore. Every single staff member was dressed to impress and our server Tom looked so sharp, was helpful, friendly, attentive and polite which just made this experience 10/10. I cannot recommend this place enough equally because of the food quality and selection and excellent service.“

“We started our tasty journey with the Olives, featuring the Castelvetrano and Cuquillo varieties. They have just a hint of orange that makes a boring bowl of olives a standout taste experience. The Potato Latkes were up next, served with tobiko taramasalata and tarragon. The combination is absolutely incredible, striking a perfect balance between texture and flavor...perfection.For our entrees, our group had the Ravioli Dauphine and the Lamb Meatball Bomber. The ravioli, filled with tender lamb shank and drizzled with beurre blanc, accompanied by scorzonera and crispy kale, is fantastic. The Lamb Meatball Bomber is delicious with its kale, sumac onions, and garlic yogurt. However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the Braised Chicken Leg, paired with black futsu squash, lentils, sage, and endive. It's no exaggeration when I say this is the best meal I have ever had in my entire life. The depth of flavor, the perfect cook on the chicken, and the harmony of the accompaniments is simply unparalleled. We had the Vanilla Panna Cotta with lemon, honey, and toffee for dessert. I have no words that adequately capture its sheer perfection. The Little Club delivered an exceptional dining experience. If I could give them six stars, I would. Every dish was a testament to the chef's mastery over their craft. I cannot recommend The Little Club highly enough; it is an absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine dining at its best.“

Everything was fresh and local and freaking delicious! Nothing was an afterthought - the bread that came with the soup was as good as my grandma’s dinner rolls ❤️ Even the lettuce on the burger was big, crisp and fresh. The tomato seemed like it had just been picked this morning. The coffee was delicious and fresh, made to order. Very generous portions, fat crispy bacon, ah! After taking our drink order I went back to the front and asked if we could be seated at a booth….no problem. We were re-seated in a minute.Matti saw what was going on and promptly brought our drinks over to the new booth. We ordered an appetizer and mains and settled in, amazed at the size of this establishment. It’s divided into 3 different large areas on multiple floors. Our appetizer was bought over to our table and it was delicious. After a short delay I noticed Matti speaking to a very large gentleman with a concerned look on her face.Within seconds the gentleman was at our table introducing himself as the general manager apologizing for the delay in our mains coming to our table. For such a large place it was so amazing they make sure you have and excellent experience. “My partner couldn't stop singing the praises of beef on weck. We were in Niagara Falls at the end of September, and we came out here based on the reviews. We did not realize that they are about 10 miles from downtown Niagara Falls. It was so good, we came back the next day. They are extremely well worth the drive. A nice simple place, you can order outside in the front of the building, or inside. They have seating both areas. Everybody was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. They have won awards for their beef on Weck, and I can see why. You can get it with anywhere from 2 1/2 ounces for a lighter eater,, to a whopping 8 ounces of roast beef. The roast beef was tender and wonderfully flavored, the jus that they dip the top half of the roll in was heavenly, and I loved the kummelweck roll with the caraway seeds and salt. I can see why my partner is always singing the praises of this sandwich, and why it is a mainstay of the Buffalo area, For dessert, both times my partner had the frozen custard. The first time, I had the canoli ice cream. Delicious! It actually had pieces of canoli in it. The second time, I had the custard, and it was creamy and delicious. Much better than your standard soft serve. They are closed for the season, but they will reopen in March of 2024. . The next time we are in the area, we would stop by in a heartbeat. Thank you!!“

“The place has lots of cool Buffalo sports memorabilia. Lots of pic and jerseys lining the walls. Our server was so friendly and sweet. We split a few things since it was out 1st time here. Everything was served piping hot. The pickle chips were crispy and crunchy, with a nice dipping sauce, a little spicy but all tasty. The fries were cooked the way fries should be. Crispy outside, mashed potato like inside. The gravy served on the side was not very good. It was clumpy and not very tasty. The pulled pork(recommended by our fabulous server) was delicious, but I bit into a bone that damn near knocked my crown off. The server was very apologetic, and they even removed the sandwich from the check. (kind gesture that not a lot of places would do) The roast beef was good, but it was a bit overcooked for my taste. “Phenomenal! I had heard amazing things about Hutch's for years and finally made it in for a surprise birthday dinner from my friends. Each and every one of us absolutely loved and raved over our meals and drinks. Some of the freshest oysters and a delicious meatball to start our night, with espresso martini's and wine. I had the pork chop special with pear chutney and WOW, the biggest and moist cut of pork I've had with an amazing flavor profile. I had the fruit cookie for dessert and it was absolutely divine. Our server, Amanda, was so friendly and helpful, suggesting apps, working with my friend to find the perfect red wine for her, and even humoring my other friend to pick a meal and surprise her- and she picked well! Good service makes all the difference and we can't say enough about her and the atmosphere here. I have friends who routinely come to Hutch's and all I can say is I've been influenced and hope to return much more frequently! Thanks for an amazing dinner experience to celebrate my 30th!“

“Cannot say enough about how fantastic this place is, their food is so incredible that they could easily charge double and I'd still want to eat here! The venue is so well thought out and feels homey and very much like a local gem versus a chain type place, it is great. They also have an incredible wine selection, much larger than one would expect for a place of this size! Location is definitely not super large, so we would recommend making a reservation in advance. Definitely worth a visit!!!“

“This place was crazy fun, the atmosphere was amazing, and the conversations were enthralling. The bartender is a hoot... and a cutie ?, and the people there will have you wheezing.Besides that I gotta give compliments to the chef. I got the Angus burger and let me tell you, you gotta try it. They add something sweet to the burger (I skepticize it to be some sort of jam) but the contrast that it makes.with the savory burger is amazing. Not to mention the Fry's cooked to perfection; exactly what I needed. All around the place was very clean, definitely up to date on everything; and from what I've seen of the kitchen there's not much to worry about. The bathrooms were spiff and span and the mirror was cool.Which brings me to my final point, The layout. I had to say the design of the bar was very classic, you come in and are treated with a bar and a few tables and a booth wall. The kitchen connects behind the bar and out of the bar and a kitchen window. Then a small hallway that leads to both genders bathrooms and some other off limit stuff I presume(Didn't snoop around too much XD). I really like the bar and how the spirits were backlight. To summarize, id give it a 5/5 if you're looking for a good time. Thanks if you actually read all this.(PS, Sam, nice tattoo)Wheelchair accessibility: Street level with a door wide enough, no automatic doors but I'm sure a bartender or a fellow citizen would help.“

It was ready on time, I was greeted promptly by a very nice staff member, and it was the BEST Reuben I have ever eaten. It's piled so high with meat, cheese, and sauerkraut I could barely finish it. So good!“

The filet mignon was a little over cooked, but besides that the pasta sauce was amazing, the house dressing was super good and the garlic bread and knots were also great. “Okay the food, the setting, the layout!!!! 10/10. Self service for food- using a QR code that is placed on tables for the servers to run the food out to you PIPING HOT! Seat yourself and water and napkins and plates and wet-wipes (you’ll need them) to share were all easily accessible with both entrances.Went with a couple of friends and we tried:Pretzel and queso app ($14)- STUNNING, queso was a perfect blend of Smokey and smooth and the pretzels came in rods (4) and were piping hot 10/10Wingnutz dip ($13)- I know this is what they are known for but I personally like my chicken wing dip, spicy. The chicken was tender though and came with a massive plate of fresh chips. 8.5/10Spring Rolls ($13)- YUM- fresh out of the fryer laying on top of a bed of kimchi (not too soured or prickly but the perfect complement) and a sweet Chile sauce. Really fresh and crisp 9.5/10Last Dragon Tacos ($18)- WOW- these were super flavorful and fresh even with the very generous meat portion. Sometimes it can be too overwhelming, but they nailed this one between the kimchi and pickled red onions giving the taco the bite it needs, to the very tender brisket, and the sauce that adds a kick! Dynamite! 10/10Roasted Cauliflower Taco ($15)- packs quite the punch in a mouthful- really tender cauliflower that soaked up all of the delicious sauce served with. 8.5/10Wingnutz Chicken Sandwich ($16) with their Cajun fries. Note for the fries- absolute perfection, LOVE a fry that is just about half an inch thick- gives a great crust and super fluffy inside. Their chicken sandwich was MASSIVE, genuinely think they used half a chicken on it, soaked in a hot honey brine- they have perfected a Nashville style fried chicken and DONT forget the pickles (thick cut)“

“The Place" on Lexington Avenue in Buffalo, NY, is steeped in history and local culture. It began its journey in the late 1870s, initially as a saloon opened by Jacob Beier. Located in a then-rural district north of Buffalo's main city area, the establishment served as a convenient stop for both businessmen and workers. Over the years, the saloon witnessed changes in ownership and shifts in cultural influences, transitioning from German to Irish hands.During the early 1900s, under Christoph Piller's ownership, it operated as "Piller's Cafe". Despite facing challenges like the Prohibition era, the cafe continued its operations. In the 1940s, Bernie Flynn took over, renaming it "The Place" and adding signature elements like the ruby red and India turquoise walls. Bernie Flynn introduced popular items like "Flynnie's Thinnie" sandwiches and the Tom & Jerrys, a warm holiday drink, which became synonymous with The Place. After Bernie Flynn, the business was taken over by Edward "Buddy" Flynn, who maintained many of the establishment's traditions. The Place was known for its unpretentious atmosphere, popular tavern food, and simple drinks, drawing large crowds, especially during the holidays. The Place temporarily closed in May 2015 but was soon rejuvenated by Jay McCarthy, Kevin Brinkworth, and Elizabeth "Betty" Brinkworth. They renovated the space, balancing the preservation of its historic charm with modern upgrades. This included retaining features like the mahogany wood walls and the original ceiling while adding new elements such as a copper bar top.Today, The Place offers a nostalgic reflection of Buffalo's past, blending classic ambiance with old-time charm. It remains a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike, especially with its additions like a porch and open-air patio. The tradition of serving "Thinnie Flynnie" sandwiches and the Tom & Jerry holiday punch continues, keeping the spirit of The Place alive.“

“Utterly charming. I've lived on Grand Island for five years and have only just heard of Casey's Cabana. It's a very nice little hot dog/burger stand on the Niagara River, with seating on a dock. It has a delightful "river rat" atmosphere. They offer much more than burgers and hot dogs, however, and they have ice cream, as well. Best of all, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. It doesn't hurt, either, that the prices are ridiculously low. It reminded me a bit of Reid's in Lockport, only with a much nicer riverfront location.A very nice alternative to other similar places in the area. I'll be back again and again. I only wish I had discovered this place a long time ago.“

“We had a date night in the area and I had heard of Squire’s so we thought we’d give it a try. It’s a quaint place with a dining room on one side and a bar down the other. We stopped on a Saturday night around 6:00 and the dining room was full so we sat at the bar. Rick was running the bar and we was fantastic. Such a nice and helpful guy. It was a pleasure to meet him. I had the pot roast special with fries and gravy while my wife had The Warrior which was a classic Beef on Weck with 5 wings. I couldn’t have cooked it better myself ! Everything was perfect. After our visit this place moved up near the top of places we like to visit. Cozy, casual and quant place to get great food, great service and a glass of spirits !“
