“Had a great brunch with my mom a few Sundays back. I had the shrimp and grits and my mom a breakfast specialty bowl. Also had the duck empanadas. Food and service were excellent and we had a great view of the bay as we ate and chatted. First time dining there and it was great. Bar and dining area set up With a great island vibe.“

“Holy!! Wow so Shadees has sold and Shampaige Island is the new local Carribean spot. Tried them a few months back and missed Shadees. A hard act to follow for Jamaican comfort food. But now.. wow.. Holy!!! My mouth is burning, the flavor os off the charts, and no one option is not enough. For a lunch combo I did an add on fpr a second choice. Went with Curry chicken because pf how good the scent t of curry was.. but needed one of those jerk or stewed chicken dishes. She gave me the sweeter of the two and ai can't say I know which it was. LOL Definitely add the Cabbage to the rice and peas (beans) and get a aide of mac n cheese and piece of fried chicken. Easy to share this all or take home and have some later.Ask for a few Jerk sauces for the rice.“

“I've been wanting to try Shadees since it was featured on the news during the beginning of the pandemic! Finally, finally, finally got to try their delicious takeout menu! Friendly service and clean establishment. We ordered the jerk chicken and curry chicken lunches as well as a couple spicy beef patties and a couple pieces of their fried chicken. We wanted to try as much as possible and have some leftovers for dinner! Great lunch portions and flavor! I found the jerk chicken to be a little dry but it had a nice flavor. The fried chicken had a lovely breading that had a nice crunch and light texture. The curry chicken was sooo good (my favorite!), as were the sides that we chose: rice, beans, and plantains. The beef patties were excellent as well. I'm not a huge fan of chicken with bones in them, but I'm sure the bones contributed to the rich flavor. I did find myself picking out very small chunks of bone, so be careful when eating. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to try this authentic Jamaican food and definitely recommend others try it as well!“
