“The most delicious and nutritious food from their appetizers and samplers to the entrées and the scrumptious desserts. They are vegan, kosher and gluten free and they accommodate restrictions. We always have their Mediterranean sampler and their penne a la bolognese. We tried their pesto penne yesterday and it was so tasty! We also had their buffalo cauliflower wings for a lil kick! My Mother’s Day would not be complete without their chocolate cranberry tart! We also had their Turmeric Latte (coconut milk) to go. In the past we have also had their salads which are so fresh and flavorful! There is something for every palate. On Friday we had their Street Tacos and today we had their Tako Bowls! This may be a small place, but their flavors are not!! Amazing food and great portions! “My boyfriend and I have passed this cute restaurant many times, but yesterday was our first experience eating there. We came on a Sunday for a late brunch and there was lively gospel music playing and also a live guitarist. The atmosphere is homey, comfortable and inviting. We went in blind and ordered the fried chicken dinner and the BBQ dinners with potato salad and greens. We also ordered a side of mac & cheese. The house provides biscuits and muffins drizzle in honey and syrup. These were served warm and they were delicious! The dinners we had were absolutely phenomenal! 10 out o 10. The portions were also very generous. We were moved by the food and could tell that they were prepared thoughtfully with love and care. Everything was beautifully seasoned and flavorful. This place is a hidden gem and can easily compete with some of the heavy-hitter soul food restaurants in Harlem like Melba's. Melba's is one of our favorites, but My Father's House is on par or surpasses Melba's in certain respects. We were delighted to meet the chef and owner of My Father's House named Adrian. She was absolutely delightful and greeted us so warmly. I learned that she is a preacher and a teacher and has opened up the restaurant in honor of her late father. You can feel the love and sincerity in this establishment. We will definitely be back and inviting others and recommending it to others! We also sat next to a beautiful Asian family who was dining there for the first time along with us and they also said they absolutely loved the food. 10/10! Can't wait to go back!“

“If you ever want to impress your friends & family with your good taste, take them here! Ever since they opened, we've continually been returning to this awesome restaurant. Going with friends and/or family who haven't been before, makes the experience even more enjoyable. Straight-away, newcomers are impressed as they review the eclectic menu. We tell them, honestly - we've never had anything on the menu that we didn't LOVE. It was not unusual that, on this week's visit, our party of six couldn't make menu selections 'cause everything sounded so good. No problem, we simply "ordered for the table"! Ready for this - we ordered: 2 orders of Pulled Pork Sliders, 2 orders of Brie Stuffed Pretzels, Asador Corn, Watermelon Salad, 2 orders of Smoked Ribs, Shrimp & Grits, and Chinese Chicken Salad. OH MY, what a Scrumptious Feast! Not a morsel was left over! When the friendly, attentive waiter suggested dessert, some said, "I can't eat another thing!", and "oh, maybe tomorrow". I suggested, perhaps some very delicious iced cappuccinos, or an outrageous dessert drink. Everyone ordered something. I then said to our party, I think we need some accompaniments. My wife and I got the waiter on the side, explained we had a Birthday Gal at the table, and ordered an assorted dessert board for the table. Moments later, the board was presented with a glowing birthday sparkler and a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday". Immediately, the signature Carrot Cake, Mexican Chocolate Covered Churros, Bourbon Glazed Donuts, Cheese Cake, and Vanilla Gelato began to be devoured. We got the Separation Anxiety (think BLT but hotdog) and Diablo Dogg (jalapeños and chipotle mayo) and Mutt Fries (Chilli Bacon Cheese) - all made by the owner, Tara. You can really taste the care she puts into the food.

“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“

“I had the feta salad here. It comes with mixed greens, croutons, slices of beet and I ask them to add some olive oil. Tastes heavenly! Their falafel sandwich is pretty good and their eggplant sandwich is not bad either. If I have the occasion again I'd love to come back here. It's great to have an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant that's also kosher and dairy. My only complaint is they're closed on Monday!“

“Wanted to give a shout out to the restaurant, Freddy’s, in Pleasantville. Went with a couple of girlfriends a few weeks ago and then again with my hubby last week. Both meals were delicious. The appetizers are yummy! Most of all, though, I wanted to remark on the atmosphere. The people in charge are just delightful. Had a chance to meet the owner. He told me he named the restaurant after his grandfather ( forgive, it might have been his father). Either way I thought it was nice. He has a young family and loves what he does. They have been open for two years, but I just found them now. If you haven’t checked them out, you should soon!“
