“Although we don’t visit this restaurant every month, we choose to dine in or order takeout from here around six to eight times a year—and there’s good reason to keep coming back. When it’s not busy, the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable, making it a pleasant place to share a meal with friends and /or family. We did experience some service delays during our recent indoor visit, the staff’s dedication to making things right truly impressed us. Despite an initial wait of over half an hour after being seated and waiting on our waitress or waiter, the genuine concern shown by our attentive waitress and the manager’s thoughtful gestures—a complimentary appetizer and dessert to go—turned the experience around completely.

The quality of the food speaks for itself. Our steaks, perfectly cooked medium rare, were flavorful and satisfying. There were minor issues with the temperature of some sides and cleanliness of the utensils was lacking,that could use improvement, but the prompt response from staff to replace my cold meal with a fresh, hot dish demonstrated their commitment to customer satisfaction. Additionally, generous drink refills and a solid selection of beverages further enhanced our dining experience.

What truly sets this restaurant apart is the care and hard work of the staff. When service challenges arise, the team addresses them openly and ensures guests leave happy. “We went to Peter Luger’s in Brooklyn to celebrate my son’s and my birthdays. Incredibly, it was our first time there. We will be back. Beautiful, old world atmosphere. The food was beyond delicious. Our waiters, Adi and Justin were friendly and professional. I read so many reviews that the wait staff was rude and cold. Don’t believe it for one second. All the waiters were attentive and checked to see how everything was going. Don’t miss the apple strudel and schlag. I’d give Peter Luger’s ten stars if I could. Can’t wait to return.“

“I wanted a classy night out and this place hit all the right marks. I am sensitive to ambience and found that the music and lighting were perfect - enough to create an ambience but not put stress on my senses - I could still perfectly hear my companion and see the food well.

The menu was nicely varied with some familiar and some more unique options (try the duck confit spring rolls.) The prices are above basic but reasonable compared with other upscale options in the area. I felt that we got what we paid for in terms of service, atmosphere, and food.

The staff was courteous and helpful. They were just the right amount of present, providing everything we wanted including menu suggestions without seeming overbearing and in your face at all. We did not have to wait too long for anything.

We went at a high traffic time and it was a little crowded. We had just enough personal space but not a whole lot. Definitely not what you'd call privacy, but we and everyone I saw seemed comfortable.

Overall I highly recommend this place, you will not be sorry.

“We dined at the Majors Restaurant in East Meadow. Dinner was delicious. I have no complaints about that. Here is my issue. Little, but it’s the principle. My husband ordered a cup of coffee after our $158 Dinner. The coffee came and when he put milk in it, I noticed it was really dark. I tasted it. WOW it was burnt, old & muddy. I called the waiter over and asked for a new brewed cup of coffee. He came back with a cup from the SAME pot. Normally I would of just moved on & left it. But when the bill came we were charged $3.50. For 1 cup of burnt coffee? Sorry it was the principle. If you are going to charge your clients $3.50 for a cup of coffee, invest in a Keurig where every cup is fresh. You make a great margin per cup?“
