“Took two trips here on the same day to sample something for brunch and for lunch. For starters, the place is pretty big despite how the place looks from the entrance. The people working behind the counter were pretty cool, service was on point. For breakfast I had the Nutella Custard Croffle and a can of Celsius. The croffle was delightful for sure, pleasing to the taste buds though one small complaint...I don't think croffles are a good base for any sandwich because it was messy eating that, the croffle was kinda all over the place eating it.

Came back here for lunch after a few hours in the gym to order a Mocha Haze Power Smoothie and a Smoked Turkey Croffle. Croffle sandwiches here are delicious as a whole but they are very unstable and can leave a mess so as a note, ALWAYS ask for extra napkins. The smoothie was very good and filling too. I could see myself coming around here a couple more times, trying out as much of their expansive menu as I possibly could.“

“Gorgeous presentation. Got the limited cherry blossom x peach swirl. Ice cream itself is not too sweet but that parfait is 72 g of sugar all together.

Second visit: matcha and Ube ice cream on a waffle cone with sprinkled hojicha powder (available at the pickup counter). The cone is actually a lot of ice cream at once.“

Our server, Anthony, was attentive and made great recommendations. Our crab cake was so tasty and came with a nice salad. “A hidden gem in Flushing! Stopped by this cute little cafe tucked away behind some residential apartments nearly everyday on my last trip to NYC. They offer a great selection of coffee and matcha drinks. I personally loved their iced matcha Genmaicha and their spicy tuna and salmon teriyaki onigiri. The Matcha Genmaicha is my ideal morning tea, pure green in color and no additives. Onigiri’s are priced at 3.99 each and tasted very fresh. The decor is lovely inside but there is hardly any space to sit down. Service here is very fast and friendly. They also offer a punch card for returning customers.“

“Great food! The Octoberfest Menu is great! Our waitress was not as attentive, this is not the norm for Small Batch! My husband and love this restaurant because the food is always consistently satisfying. We done here often and definitely will be back...new staff members should be aware that returning customers are expecting the same quality of serviced that is synonymous with Small Batch. “We visited in May 2025. I would recommend this place. We had a long layover. A local told us about this place. We walked over here with all our luggage in tow. The restaurant is inside the TWA hotel. The hotel is cool in a retro way. We were able to store our luggage under the counter. There was no wait for a table. The wait staff was super friendly. The food was really good. The pizza and salmon sushi were my favorite. Even the salad was excellent. We spent a few hours eating and drinking. Watched a wedding take place in the lobby. It was a fun experience versus sitting in the terminal. There is also a plane in the back of the hotel that they turned into a bar.“

This place IS A HIDDEN GEM. Not only the food is delicious, everyone here was super friendly!

I ordered Turkey melt, TUNA MELT (!!!), Chicken Caesar wrap, Roast Beef wrap, grilled cheese, and Scrambled eggs for a small bday party. Everyone loved the food and many asked me where I ordered from.

Especially the Tuna melt. Which I ordered because Susan recommended it herself!
They also have amazing cookies!

Susan's Kitchen is located in an office building, made it a little hard to find, in my opinion. My husband and I were confused whether or not we were allowed to park in the parking lot of the building.

“At almost more than half the cafes I’ve visited, I usually order matcha and the matcha ends up tasting just like sugary milk. However, here you definitely wouldn’t regret getting matcha, it was delicious. The coffee too is amazing. The owner is super sweet making the cafe even more enjoyable to be at. Also, there’s free wifi so it’s a great place to study or get some work done as well. Overall a great cafe and strongly recommend checking it out!“

“The everything bagel was covered in salt I couldn’t eat it , but the coffee was great and the barista was very attentive. Everyone seems positive with one another and work very well. Corn cheese bread was sooo fun. If it’s served warm; I bet you it’s fantastic but I did eat it a couple of hours after it was ordered.
The fig bread had an amazing texture to it. Light and fluffy like Portuguese bread (I did personally wish the figs were cut smaller to enjoy more evenly but that’s personal preference)

“I've been ordering lunch delivery here for a while now. Each time, the experience has been amazing. Yes, they are pricey, but the food and presentation are so worth it! I loved the kippered salmon sandwich. I cannot get enough of their butternut squash soup and the varied fresh juices. The tomato soup is also good, and the tuna panini. Now, the avocado salmon sandwich surpassed my expectations! Everything is always fresh and tasty and leaves you with a healthy vibe. The only miss was the “make your own salad” which I would never try again, better to go with what they offer on the menu.“
