Best homemade rye bread on Long Island.
I lived on Princeton Avenue in Hewlett from 1980 to 1986, just a few streets away from Walls Bake Shop. Growing up, we would walk there to pick up all of our family favorites—a seven-layer cake for my dad (his favorite), bowties for me (my favorite), linzer tarts for my sister, and a black-and-white cookie for my brother.
