Forget the tawdry, aged decor, the food is outstanding. The couple that runs it (42 years together as she's happy to say) does so with passion, and the unpretentiousness and affordability of what tastes like, and is presented as, homecooked Greek cuisine, is a relief. Best as take out, either way skip the 'American' menu and enjoy the greek specialties.
Classic Greek mom and pop spot. I tried their regular gyro and was really impressed. Usually gyros will have more salad than meat or vice versa (rarely), but this place has arguably the best portioning I've ever had. Highly recommend!
Our family enjoyed this restaurant very much, even though it's not fancy at all, it has a warm feel to it. We had the stuffed grapes, spinach pie, chicken gyro platter with lemon potatoes and chicken souvlaki- all were delicious. For dessert we had the custard and Baklava was yummy! the rice pudding was a bit bland but other than that, we were happily stuffed! Oh, and the falafels were so good with the Tzatziki sauce.
