Sapalta offers a beautiful outdoor setting by Lake Seneca, with top-notch service and delicious food. The ambience and view are fantastic, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. The Sheldrake Moon appetizer is a great choice to start, and the salmon has been noted as innovative and very good. The restaurant features tremendous lump crab cakes and FLX ratatouille. While some dishes like the hanger steak were found to be tough and fatty, the craft cocktail, such as the hibiscus margarita, was creative and tasty. The service remains excellent and attentive. The outstanding food and local wine, along with the fabulous view, make it a must-visit in the Seneca Lake area.
The atmosphere is delightful, with the staff being very welcoming of guests and their dogs. The food is delicious, particularly the watermelon plum gazpacho, but the green goddess scallops were a little disappointing. Dessert, however, is fabulous. The menu can be limited, and the restaurant is not open every day, so it's best to check. The homemade donuts, shashuka, and pancakes are highlights, with the setting and outdoor dining option adding to the experience. Overall, it is highly recommended.
