“Checked in and the place was packed a very good sign. Menu selection was either all you can eat (AYE) or ala carte menu, we opted for the Ala carte menu. FYI if one ordered the AYE the entire table must do AYE. Ordered the combo with snow crab, lobster tail, shrimp, corn and potatoes. The seafood was fresh, plentiful, sauces were delicious. Generous portion and price was fair. Drinks were excellent as well. Many people eating the AYE and looked happy. Service was good, food was delicious check it out.“

“5/5! I cannot recommend the state room ENOUGH! I just had my daughter's baptism lunch this past weekend and the food, ambiance, service, environment were all 10/10! Julian was an amazing hostess who catered all of our needs from beginning to end, even offering custom napkin colors, helping us run stuff from car to venue, providing easels... she made the event absolutely seamless. I cannot wait to host a party here again. All of our friends and family were also raving about the food and how lovely the day was! We cannot thank you enough State Room!!!“

“The most delicious Mexican food I have eaten on Long I since I moved to New York from California 40 years ago!!It is fresh, inventive, well-prepared and nicely presented and divine. This is not your run of the mill rice and beans tacqueria that everyone on Long Island settles for. This is real authentic Mexican, the way it should be.My friend and I ordered margaritas which were perfectly bright, refreshing and served the way they're supposed to be served.The tortilla chips were fresh and the salsa had just the right amount of zing.We ordered the Empanada Mariscos appetizer, a seafood empanada appetizer which was very fresh and delicious.My friend ordered the Enchiladas Campenchano, which looked so delicious, I asked to taste the sauce. She wasn't as familiar with Mexican food. But she absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back. Amazing. Guess what I am ordering on my next visit?!I ordered the mole enchiladas. Can I say OMG!!! Rich, complex, and wonderfully silky and excellent, the mole was perfectly prepared and presented, as it should be, on corn tortillas filled with tender, juicy chicken. The Mexican chocolate in the sauce absolutely sang. Incredible. I had goosebumps!! It tasted like more.Since we were celebrating a birthday we ordered Coffe Flan!! Melt in your mouth, indescribably rich and delicious!!! It was light and smooth with just the perfect amount of coffee flavor. Succulent. The staff surprised my friend with a generous piece of tres leches with a candle on it, and they sang happy birthday to her. She was thrilled.Summary: The ambiance is bright and festive. The service is attentive and warm. “I took my friend there for her birthday on a Sunday. The server recommended the Prickly Pear Margarita-delicious. She checked on us many times to make sure everything was okay or if we needed anything. We had the corn tamales, tacos and a veggie burger. The food was great, service on point. One of my favorite places to eat. Thanks for a great meal. Highly recommend.“

“Visited for dinner on a Saturday night. Started by ordering drinks, Bourb-Berry and their cider cinnamon drink. Both were extremely enjoyable and tasty, a good size drink without been overpriced. For starters we shared the buttermilk fried chicken which was very satisfying and a good portion to share between 2 people. Our main meals were their old fields burger and squid ink linguine. Both meals were great and very tasteful. Service was very good, our waiter was very friendly and visited our table often to ensure everything was up to our liking. I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if you are in the area.“

“I had dined at Stella Trattoria only once before, at Christmastime 2022. I can’t for the life of me figure out why I didn’t get back there sooner. This restaurant is spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. We were seated immediately upon arrival, & had drinks in less than 5 minutes. Our waitress, Julie, was the best. The food was nothing short of wonderful! It arrived at the table hot, in very generous portions, and was absolutely delicious! When I took out my “doggie bag” to enjoy a second dinner, I found Julie had marked all our containers making it easy to identify the contents, as well as making sure everything came home, sauce and all! Each one of our party of four thoroughly enjoyed their dinner. Stella Trattoria is FINE DINING.“

“The food we got was delicious. My wife had the cauliflower crust flatbread, which was a little sweeter than she expected because of the jam on it, but still very good, and I had the fish and chips. The dunks were also very good and the ambiance was a lot of fun. We sat at the high tops in the bar which is more of the loud and a lot going on seeing...because it's a bar of course which is what we wanted that night, however there were much much quieter and low key tables in the back of the restaurant for the sit down eating experience. This one is now added to our regular list of places to go.“

“Dined here several times since opening over the summer. Service is spot on, food delicious and love the outdoor dining and relaxing by the fire pits. Burgers are very good, (we enjoy the toasted English muffin buns), crab salad on croissant is great. Every appetizer we have tried has been awesome. Nice little place on the water nestled in the marina. We will frequent here often year round.“

“Last night was the 3rd time I’ve dined at Dirty taco in smithtown! Anytime I come there the food is great, the staff is super friendly and we always have a good time! The wait was about 45 minutes but the girl in the front was really hustling to get everyone seated and so was the gentleman working with her!! I normally don’t write reviews but felt it shouldn’t have gone unnoticed!!! And was impressed! We will be back again!!“

“My fiancee and I have been going to Northern Coast since shortly after it opened, and it never disappoints. This place is the definition of a "hidden gem", being in the lobby at the Hilton Garden Inn on the Stony Brook campus (you don't need to be a student to go, but students get a discount IIRC). Although it's right adjacent to the lobby with little separation, it's much more than your standard hotel eatery with lots of great New American dishes and a warm, comfortable, unique atmosphere.I've tried several dinner items, and all have been great so far, with reasonable prices, sizeable portions, good variety of styles, all fresh-tasting and "made to order". But, if there's one thing I always go back to, it's the roasted chicken. The skin is so crispy and it has a buttery au-jus that's just divine. It comes with some sauteed string beans that are sweet and flavorful as well. I'd also like to mention the pork chops, brussels sprouts, and the peach melba dessert as well.The service never disappoints, and at least when we went, the vibe of the place is calm and quiet (even with being next to the hotel's front desk). I dig the melodic chill/deep house from the hotel lobby, and I also love the style of the place, it's got a clean, colorful look that feels very "90s tropical". Screens are around that rotate through pictures of the food items. We usually eat there pretty late (it's refreshing finding a place that will stay open till 10PM), so I could imagine this place gets a lot busier and noisier at other times (like around college orientation/graduation, or brunch).I love this place and think it's a great addition to the area. “This is a woman owned business and she supports other local women owned businesses. The large, but cozy room in the back of the restaurant makes it a great place to have events. Thanks to the chef, who cooked 3 different types of pasta. In addition, the buffet style food was delicious. The waitresses were attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. “The chowder was good and my group shared apps. We had no complaints. We did sit at the bar and there was a shift change. The first bartender was pleasant but nothing special. The bartender that followed was much more personable. The place itself has a few tables inside and a space outside with tables also. I loved the look and feel of the bar. I will definitely go back for apps and drinks again.“
