“It was one of those calm Hudson Valley mornings when sunlight quietly spills through the window, and the air smells of roasted coffee beans and buttery pastries. At Anna & Pierre Café, I ordered a Spicy Red Pepper Shiitake Danish—a small piece of art resting on a white plate.

The layers were crisp and flaky, crowned with black and white sesame seeds and fresh green scallions. The flavor was rich yet balanced: savory, slightly spicy, with a faint sweetness at the end. Paired with a smooth latte, it felt like the kind of breakfast that turns an ordinary day into a quiet celebration.

I didn’t catch the young woman’s name but she was so helpful, answered all my questions and made me a custom drink- and even made sure I liked it! The smoothie bowls are so fresh with crisp fresh fruit and toppings.. highly recommend! 😍“
