“I ordered a cake for the first time for a friend’s shower. The cake was so delicious (and pretty-they did such a nice job!), the staff were so family friendly and the prices are totally reasonable ! While we were there, we also picked up some dog biscuits and carrot cake cupcakes. My kids and dogs loved them!! I would highly recommend this bakery and this will certainly be my go to spot from now on. Thank you! 😊“

“Franco's has the best fresh mozzarella. Only place comparable to Arthur Avenue, actually even better. Save on the gas buy your fresh mozzarelka here. They also actually know how to slice Proscuiitto. All who live up here know that is a rarity. Their catering is amazing. Above all else nicest folks in the world. This is can't miss deli across the board. Best Italian Deli in Dutchess County.“

“One of my favorite places in the whole Hudson Valley. The Dutchess Biercafe brings delicious bites and sips in virtually every single of their menu items. Too many things I like here to describe but I’ll give you my top 2:

The poutine is to die for and if you add a runny egg on top it’s somehow even better. The pretzel is perfection. It’s warm, soft, and the beer cheese they give you with it is perfectly balanced.“

I ordered the Falafel 🧆 Plate with Hummus and a Salad 🥗. Although that’s all I really wanted the Owner suggested that I try a sample of Tabouleh and Babaghanough. “At one time I lived in Poughkeepsie and often frequented the Milanese. The food was outstanding but the accommodations were at the time subpar. Close together seating where neighboring conversations were easily heard. Loud talking diners nearby were often obstusive. I recall a couple were about to be seated when the gentleman curtly told the waitress "If I wanted to sit with those folks I would have come in with them."

Years later still the case. We were seated very close to a table of 5. They were indeed loud talkers and we were uncomfortable until they left about a half hour later.

I got the stuffed shrimp
Delicious! But my side of pasta didn't come until 10 minutes into the meal. That presented another problem. There was one server for the whole dining room. The poor guy was frantically running to and fro like a crazy man. We felt sorry for him

My companion got the lasagne dinner and felt it was very tasty though substantially light on meat.

Generally my return to the Milanese was a disappointment. Uneven food quality and below average seating and poor service.

I doubt I'll be back.

Asked him if it was a sensitivity or allergy, when he replied allergy they stopped production of all other burgers to make mine so it would have no contact trace. “Food was excellent! Service was wonderful, the food came out quick (5-10 minutes). The waitress/hostess was working super hard to get the to-go orders to everyone waiting and taking calls. Two other workers made sushi. The atmosphere was calm and the walls were sea colored. I liked it very much.

I ordered the bento box that included: miso soup, salad with ginger dressing, cali roll and a teriyaki roll. You can select 2 other options and you there’s plenty to choose from! I chose the salmon teriyaki and the spicy tuna roll.
I also ordered gyoza as appetizers and a bubble tea.

Miso soup: super simple and delicious
Salad: simple as well and the dressing was light
California roll and spicy tuna roll: very good, though not spicy. The tuna roll had a nice crunch which was great.
Teriyaki roll: my favorite, super crunchy with salmon (I think) inside and sauce on top! So good!
Salmon teriyaki: not over cooked with delightful sauce with some grilled onions, carrots, broccoli and shredded zucchini
Gyoza: a bit smaller than what I expected but it satisfied my cravings!
Bubble tea: my least favorite, not the best one I’ve had. A bit bland but the pearls were chewy so that’s good.

Ordered a side of brussel sprouts which were perfect. And topped it off with coffee and Limon cello tartufo ooh wow! This was all for our 1st anniversary and had a great meal. And not to mention our waiter Rich was very helpful and just made the dining experience that much better. More waiters and waitresses need to be like him. Can't wait to go back for another meal.“
