“My sister and I recently reserved the Glens Falls Tap Room for my parents surprise 50th anniversary party. We started planning over a year in advance and corresponded with Anne Barry and Torey. They were both amazing to deal with and made the planning process so seamless! Anne was beyond accommodating to any and all requests that we had. She even went as far as to block my parents from their facebook page so they would not see when Mean Max posted that they would be closed for a private party. Any questions we had were always answered thoroughly and promptly. There was a couple times where we stopped into the taproom and Torey was working. He was amazing in assisting us with any additional questions we had. We had a slide show on a usb cable that they happily projected on their wall in the taproom as well as on one of their tvs. The party went off without a hitch and we would most definitely recommend them to anyone looking to host an event. Our bartender, Christa, was beyond amazing and so friendly with everyone. She was beyond helpful with anything and everything we needed and our guests adored her! Overall we can't express enough how much Mean Max made our event perfect and catered to everything we asked. They are amazing to work with and did everything they could to make our event a success!!! We highly recommend them whether you're looking to reserve for a private party or just go and visit their taproom and have some amazing beers!!! I come back to the Capitol District every year to visit and had the amazing luck to run across Lake George Distillery Co at the Troy Farmers Market. Sampled a few of what they had at their stand and every one I tried was smooth and delicious. I bought a bottle of their Straight Bourbon Whiskey and a bottle of their Maple Infused Bourbon. Now that I'm staring at the last finger of my LGDC Straight Bourbon Whiskey, I'm sitting here wishing I had bought three bottles. It's that good. I wish the Virginia ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control) stores here carried it!“

“I have only dined at Rocco’s but one time, we didn’t have a reservation and they were able to seat the three of us which was very accommodating. It was a busy busy time since there was a game at the Civic Center across the street and every place was packed. The food was outstanding and I would recommend Rocco’s.“

Not only is it a locally owned brewery with long-standing roots in the community, the owner puts an immense amount of pride and effort into the brewing process. It also feels like home by the way the staff greets each person and genuinely cares about the full experience for each patron.
