The BBQ Chicken Thin Crust had a nice flavor and the crust was crispy and thin, but where was the chicken? I requested extra chicken and onions, and there was nary a nugget to be found! And what was the cut job on this? I've seen square cuts before, but not mini-triangles.

The Mushroom and Green Pepper NY Style was better, a nice flavor as well and cheesy, but again the toppings were so underwhelming! Oh they were better compared to the chicken on the BBQ, but a lot of bites I would find no veggies at all. Very sad.“

Even if they don't show it to customers, it's critical that at least the staff have access to this information to be able to alert customers whether or not their allergen is in a particular food item.“

“My husband and I dined at Solevo tonight for a 5 PM reservation, and once again, it reminded me why this is my favorite restaurant in Saratoga and our go-to for special occasions.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and seated right away. We started with the special antipasto salad and meatballs for our first course. The meatballs were incredibly tender, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The salad was enormous and absolutely packed with fresh, delicious vegetables, topped with beautifully aged meat that made it feel extra special.

To start, I had the Solevo Spritz, which was refreshing and perfectly balanced, while my husband enjoyed a tequila cocktail (I wish I remembered the name!). For our second course, he ordered the lasagna and loved that it came with extra sauce - something that’s surprisingly hard to find when ordering lasagna out. I had the chicken involtini, and as we usually do, we shared both dishes. Both were prepared perfectly. We also enjoyed glasses of Barolo with dinner, and I have to say, I absolutely love that Solevo offers Barolo by the glass - not many restaurants in this area do, and it’s such a treat.

For dessert, we shared the brown butter cake, which was absolutely delicious - rich, nutty, with the perfect hint of maple sweetness.

A special mention to our server, Joanna, who was wonderful. She explained the specials thoroughly, answered every question we had with ease, and provided excellent service throughout the evening.

Ribbon catered my wedding in May '24, and long before then they were practically family. This is the best place in Ballston Spa for more than just king Kev's cooking. We ordered bang, bang shrimp, Buffalo chicken egg rolls and Philly steak egg rolls. All three were exceptional. I’m having a hard time deciding which I liked the best. My husband thought the Philly steak egg rolls were the best. The Manager ( or owner, not sure which) stopped by our table at the request of our waitress. I thought that was really nice. We highly recommend Maxon’s and are looking forward to going again.“

“We were there on June 4th Unbeknownst to us it was the start of Belmont week in Saratoga. The city was mobbed with people great to see. But not great on walk in dining. We were told it would be an hour wait because of all the reservations they had. This was not part of our plan of course. We then spotted an outdoor table in the shade. We grabbed it and the rest is history. We were greeted by Eli our server who by the way is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to craft beer. “The food was great. Parking was plentiful. However, the service was the best I've ever experienced of any establishment in this area. Our food was finished real fast and the person who served my friend and I was so easygoing and professional. Another friendly woman came along quite regularly just to offer coffee refills. It doesn't seem like much, but little things matter. The people who run BHC seem to understand that and it was such a pleasure to visit and spend money there.“

We also had an order of the crispy spring rolls that are garnished with fantastic pickled daikon radish & carrot sticks & fresh cucumber slices. I would love more of the pickled vegetable garnish! Greens were fresh, as were the sliced apples. We also had what has to be the best grilled cheese sandwich i have ever had. Loaded with a blend of 4 cheeses and caramelized onions. Bread was grilled to perfection. The order also included a fried chicken sandwich which had a huge fried chicken breast. Finally, the side order of chili didn't look that great but tasted fantastic\n I would also like to add that according to Google AI they offer gluten free bread and most items can be made gluten free.“

“to the people commenting on the lack of ambiance...? i think it is fine. for me the music is "ambient" enough, along with the lovely wall mural, and photos showing what the food is....not to mention the collection of both holly AND "bolly"wood stars and starlets, adorning a back side wall. the dining area is always SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, and the bathroom shines. they keep the prices very reasonable, which is a HUUGE plus for me. the food is always great, fresh, and tasty, not to mention a lot healthier than the traditional american diet. staff is attentive. i never felt they "watch to see how many dishes you take", as someone suggested. they are likely making sure people get FRESH plates with every visit to the steam tables., since this is actually a restaurant/buffet health law...i have never ever, once felt like they wanted to "rush" me out. they are always very welcoming and accommodating.. “Found an absolute gem! The staff, food, and overall environment are all super nice. They have live music, great outdoor spaces, and it genuinely feels like the kind of place where you can build a community. If I’m not mistaken, it’s actually owned by two Saratoga high school teachers, which makes it even cooler. I had a great time and felt completely welcome. “Food is great and service is great. The only issue I have is your gift card policy between Albany and Saratoga. I’ve had family be told you can use a gift card at either location and I have been told it must be used where it was purchased? My parents bought a gift card at the Albany location for my wife and I. The back of the card had Saratoga on it. Thankfully, we presented the gift card receipt after being told we could only use it in Saratoga when the receipt showed it was purchased in Albany. Thankfully, the server and the manager didn’t give up on the situation and were able to manually enter the card number in despite the magnetic strip on the card not working. Bravo to them! However, the only gift cards you are able to purchase in Albany say Saratoga on the back. So if you have a gift card, you better bring a gift card receipt or you may not be able to use it. I hope you guys look at the policy. My only negative. Other than that sushi is fresh and quick and great service !“
