Silo Restaurant & Gift Shop is a charming and quaint spot serving excellent food, including great pancakes. The rustic ambience and unique decor create a memorable dining experience. The service is great, with kind and quick staff that makes guests feel welcomed. During busy times, there may be a long wait, sometimes up to an hour, and seating can be limited. While waiting, visitors can explore the extensive gift shop, which offers plenty to look at and shop for. The restaurant is known for its massive portions and great options, making it a popular place for families. The beef on weck is delicious, with the aus jus being an added delight, though it might be a bit salty for some. The onion ring side is worth the extra charge, being crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is similar to a privately owned Cracker Barrel, providing a cozy and inviting environment. The Monte Cristo is substantial, though some may find it a bit bland. Guests have praised the cider donuts as a must-try treat, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.
