“Just tried Mama Said Hand Pies for the first time… I started with a maple cold brew. It was made like the employee really cared that I enjoyed it - carefully combined and stirred and not overpacked with ice like other places do so that you only get a few sips of coffee before it’s a cup of ice left. And the cold brew itself was very smooth. Then I got the spinach egg and cheese hand pie. I initially thought they looked kind of small but they’re super filling so I was pretty full after one. The flavor was so good and the crust was fresh and buttery and crispy. I also got the sausage gravy and egg hand pie which was heavenly. And even though I was completely stuffed after two, I did try the cherry hand pie and loved the almond glaze on top of it. Can’t wait to go back to try the other flavors!“

“We were in the mood for fish and chips and found Northstar Public House, one of the few places in Ithaca with a Gluten Free option. So glad we did! Hands down the best dinner we’ve had during our visit. The fish and chips were amazing, the mac and cheese was super tasty, and the mocktail Shy Violet was spot on. Our server was wonderful and made the whole experience even better.

The vibes are great too—reggae music playing when we walked in set the tone right away. If you’re looking for a spot with delicious food, friendly service, and Gluten Free options that don’t compromise on flavor, this place is a must!“

“This is a great Asian mart with a nice variety of options. They have fresh produce items of napa cabbage, bean sprouts, daikon radish, burdock root, galangal, Okinawan purple sweet potato, taro, and much more. They have a seafood counter, a large refrigerator section with lots of ready-made or quick heat food items. There’s also a great selection of frozen items for every kind of gyoza, dumpling, shu mai, bao buns, and so much more.

There’s plenty of dessert items from ice cream varieties and coconut buns to name a few. This mart also has a large selection within their aisles of every kind of ramen and noodle you could want, lots of herbs, spices, dried jujube, dried lotus seed, dried mushroom varieties, and a great choice for different teas. This is a wonderful place to come and get so many items, even if you’re from a different background, which I am, come here and shop. The only thing I would change is my approach. I will be sure I prepare a list of ingredients I would like beforehand, and then anything extra I buy is just a bonus.“
