“I live with a family member with celiac‘s disease while I am not. The baked goods at Bright Side Sweets are so good I can’t tell they are gluten-free, and that says a lot! A lot of GF baked goods are dry with a gritty texture. So nice to eat an apple cider doughnut that remained soft and delicious to the last bite! The frosted sugar cookies are so festive with the varied sport and holiday themes. Can’t believe everything in the bakery is gluten free but it is. I have to add that the owner went above and beyond for me when my car wouldn’t start and was unable to pick up my order. She offered to drive my order to my town as was going to be in the area.I didn’t have a big order so the fact that I was given exceptional customer service was even that more impressive. We have a gem in this all GF bakery. My only hope is that they increase the number of days open. Can’t wait to order pies for the holiday!“
“Went on a Friday night with 18 people. The initial wait time was at least 20 minutes but understandable due to the size of the party we had. Food was good. Portion sizes are sharable.Vegetarian options: There wasn't a big selection of vegetarian options.“
“Easily my favorite Vegan restaurant/Cafe in the Rochester area. The staff is super friendly and if they mess anything up they will fix it. The atmosphere is great a nice and cozy place to sit in and eat. The baked good are to die for as well as their specialty sandwiches. I recommend this to anyone in the area vegan or not. Food is easily the best I've eaten.“
“We visited the restaurant with our daughter and 4 friends for Easter Brunch. The location, food and service were terrific. Service was great (always had someone at the table before our water or lattes were done), the food was worth its cost (portions were large and we all had leftovers for later in the day). Will definitely be back next time visiting our daughter in Rochester.“
“Love everything about it. Except that it is kind of difficult to find the price of goods in the refrigerator section ? ?. No price tag on the goods or on side or below the goods. So it's difficult to shop, when you don't know how much your paying for??? I only found out that the English claim chowder soup was $10.49 after purchase and have to ask for the receipts ? ? ?. I got to say that all food is delicious but on higher end prices.“
“We made a reservation for I believe 9 and we ended up early. We got sat right away. No photos of the food because we were both starving. We got the Ribeye with lump blue crab. It was one of the best steaks I've ever had. We also had the black grouper dish. A little salty but would eat again. Next time we come back, will just be to try the delicious looking apps and some dessert! Overall good night out.“
“The Dalai Java is a GREAT place to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee, it’s so relaxing inside and has beautiful decor. Personally I really enjoy the nutella frappe and their breakfast sandwich, it’s my go-to everytime I’m there. The service is amazing, everyone is so nice and makes sure you get your order fairly quickly even when busy. I totally recommend Dalai Java!!“

“Saturday lunch. Quiet, and empty indoors. Loved the gyros and avgolemono soup. All fresh and long time family favorites, both for dine in and take out. In the summer we like to sit out by the canal. We took home some avgolemono and spanakopita. If we were not stuffed we would have also had the baklava.“
“The absolute best pizza I've had around the East Rochester area, if not in Rochester alone! Not going to even start with appetizers or calzones because those are delicious and just tantalizing just to look at. They have huge garbage/trash plates as well which is more than enough to feed two people each. Makes my mouth water just to talk about it. I love the food and the atmosphere. The only downfall to this pizza shop, not being spread across the country, because man oh man that food is top notch. The wing sauces varieties they have are a masterpiece in itself. I stopped in for a birthday party prep, and found they had cupcakes with banana in them - now, no one in my family really LIKES banana but me, so I figured "I'll get a couple of those to try". They didn't make it home. The birthday dozen almost didn't either. Not a place for those with weak impulse control... or is it? Seriously great cupcakes.“
“We got the general tso's + orange chicken combination platter with pork fried rice and egg rolls. The chicken meat was lightly crisp and the sauce was not "gluey" from too much starch, it was on the lighter syrup consistency and not overly sauced! We have tried several local places before coming across this one and they all were disappointingif not inedible. This place is our new favorite for Chinese take-out? Also two full combination plates were less than $19 and it was done in 10 minutes!“
“Excellent place to get frozen yogurt, whether stopping in or staying to sit and eat.The frozen yogurt menu is diverse and mostly ever-changing, but with returning familiar flavors.The building is quite clean, well-lit, usually very quiet, and not often very busy.The staff are not that friendly but are nice, mostly taking their job somewhat or quite seriously, depending on who is at the register or around the store when visiting.“
“We went into the restaurant after 200p approximately 215p and were not sure if they were open. They normally close at 200p. The gentleman behind the register greet us and told us come in and have lunch. Staff was extremely cordial and brought us a excellent lunch. Big props to the Coal Tower!“
“Our first time at Prosecco was wonderful and we found it quite by accident. We ordered Drunken Clams, which was amazing, served with hot fresh bread. For the main course; chicken parmesan - which my husband loved. I had Lobster and clam ravioli topped with large shrimp and it was delicious. We both had enough to take home. For dessert the best cannoli we ever had.The atmosphere was friendly, the waitress very courteous, and the food was delicious. We shared a bottle Montepulciano d'abruzzo wine which was discounted on Wednesday. We will make this a destination for special occasions whenever possible.“
“I am a sucker for a good bakery and this one fit the bill. I had the best matcha latte EVER! It was made with organic coconut syrup. I grabbed a loaf of homemade sourdough, which was delicious. We made bruschetta with it at home. The place was bustling with people. It's obviously a popular spot. They had many breads and baked goods. The menu is brimming with delicious choices and beverages. I can't wait to go back and try a sandwich. They carry local kombucha from Katbucha (my fav). The staff was helpful and friendly. I will surely be visiting again!“
“Whenever my parents come to Rochester to visit, we go here. The meatball is so good like I crave that meatball at times. Chicken Parmesan is pretty good. The penne Al a vodka is a little spicy but it’s Okay. The people are very nice to us the bread is great. Will continue to go to Benucci’s :)“
