Because of the South/East storm front I had to change my departure flight from Charlotte, NC to 6:00 am. All flights after that to JFK were canceled.
My connection flight was not leaving until 5:25 pm, so I had to stay 6 hours at the airport until my next flight.
I thought I go to the Chase Saphire lounge and ask if I can spend some time at the lounge (not the whole 6 hours) to kill some of the 6 hours.

I almost gave it 3 stars…. Food. Average to below average. Soda selection. Way below average. People at the bar seemed happy. But idk about alcohol. Personnel were friendly, courteous and helpful. They are the only reason I gave it 4 stars. Looked to me like the kitchen needed a better budget. Big time. They need to upgrade the menu 10X! Sad. I was hopeful it would be good.
Out of LaGuardia, Boston and Philadelphia Chase Sapphire Lounges which are all great, this was disappointing. Food was mediocre as well as service. Lot of standing around and chatting and tables left uncleared for long periods of time. To top it off their policy not allowing you in the lounge a minute earlier than 3 hr from departure (not even boarding time) which I understand not much you can do about, was disappointing.
