“Kalye Bistro catered the food for my birthday. They were incredibly accommodating in working with me to make dishes gluten free and/or vegan. They communicated regularly and with utmost professionalism. Most importantly, my guests RAVED about the food, even a week after the party! Guests ranged from having Filipino food for the first time to guests who had it all their lives - all of them gave unsolicited praise of the delicious food. We ordered the Palabok Overload, Sotanghon, lumpia Shanghai, lechón kawali, tofu sisig, chicken sisig, and garlic fried rice. Mwah - chef’s kiss!Thank you so much to Argel and the Kalye Bistro team! Highly recommended for dining in or for catering trays.“
“Another day, another HAPPY, satisfying, GOOOOOD, DELICIOUS meal! Renees do not disappoint when it comes to their food & service. This is my go to place every-time. Worth every dollar. The place really brings you back to the Philippines with their Christmas decorations.“
“If you’re a vegetarian or vegan I highly recommend the brunch bowl with vegan chicken tenders! It comes with sliced tomato’s and cucumbers and the BEST garlic rice I’ve ever tried in NYC. It also comes with hot sauce to dip your tenders in and it’s fantastic. I asked them to add a scrambled egg on it and it was the cherry on top. They happily obliged :’)Their iced oat milk latte was decent but not the best I had. I will be back for that brunch menu again though :)Overall great service and great food.“
“Amazing Filipino restaurant in Queens. We ordered tapsilog, tocilog, batangas style lomi and ube coconut bar. They were delicious and very affordable. We also ordered bangsilog to go. THE UBE COCONUT BAR IS SOOOOOO GOOD! Will definitely come back and try the other food on the menu and the ube coconut bar again!!!“
“Very authentic Filipino food! I got the 2 meat combo with a side order or milk fish and side of sausage and everything was tasty! My favorite was the beef innards soup…so tasty and comforting! Also get their cantaloupe drink; very refreshing! Well worth the money for all you get! Very friendly owner. I highly recommend and would return again!“
“Best Filipino food in New York City. I have been coming here for about 12 years now. Pork bbq is amazing. Kare kare is great. I always try to order turon if it is not sold out.The price is amazing for the value you get.Parking: Parking can be tough but not bad on Sundays“
“Dinning in to sucre verse was a good experienced for me the food is amazing its not a commercial food it feels like your in your house .. the staff was very respectful and service was excellent. Very friendly environment well manner people … I keep on coming back for brunch and dinner.. one thing I like most if you crave for some filipino or whatever dish the chef /owner will make it for you but one day before or time frame is a matter so he can market freshly cook and served it for you … I love their coffee , tea and dessert as well❤️ the owner was very nice too!!!!“
“I've been eyeing this place for a while now, but I'm glad that I got to try it out. It's not a large place, and there's no restroom for customers to use. The server is super busy, but I don't think you need another person as it has its lulls and is too small for someone else to roam around. For the food, there were so many things to choose from, but I was in the mood for a stew. I got the special ox tail Kare kare with garlic ride. I first wanted the ox tail caldereta, but there was a mix-up. It was very filling, and the shrimp paste with the garlic rice hit the spot.“
“AMAZING ube cake! I recently ordered an 8 inch ube cake for my friend's birthday, and it was amazing. The ube flavor was very strong and the cake was perfectly moist and dense (in the best way possible) while not being overly sweet. I am usually skeptical of ube desserts as many lack that authentic ube flavor, but Purple Dough's cake was on point. I'm looking forward to trying more of their desserts in the future, and continuing to support this Asian business. Mark, who helped me figure out how to get the cake delivered, was also extremely helpful via email & over the phone. So + extra points for that amazing customer service.“

“I was afraid to order The Purple Yam Cake with Ube filling because We use to order for my Sons birthday yearly from other place that closed I thought he would be disappointed but let me say it was better ,the Best version of this cake we have ever tasted We loved it Thankyou so much will be back for more ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Went with friends to share the Filipino cultural food experience! They all loved it and enjoyed the very delicious food. Everything was served hot, and service was fast and friendly! Eunice, Val and Micah had given us our most favored kamayan experience we’ve had in NYC. I loved that they prepared the tables when we got there so it was fresh for us to dig in.“
“The food is really good. I ordered sizzling sisig plus sago't gulaman. Even without the egg in sisig, it was still tasteful. Portion is also big enough for the price. Service crew was so excellent, very cheerful, lively, and approaches you with a smile. Ambience was just OK. One minor thing, was that I ordered a to-go which was ginisang sitaw at kalabasa but they gave me pinakbet instead.“
“Food here was quite amazing. You want to try to be adventurers when trying new types of food. We arrived with a large part in the back enjoying a fund time. We attempted to try a large portion of the menu. Some items may throw some people off but I wanted to try everything. What we didn’t realize the desert wasn’t on the main menu and by the time we finished our main course the kitchen was closed. Take the train it wasn’t that far from the restaurant. Pork chicken beef fish it alls works well. Various rice dishes were also amazing.Parking: There is free or paid street parking if you can find it. Train ride wasn’t that bad from the 4 train to the 7 train.“
“Ive ate at this bistro for a few times already. Foods pretty decent, service was good as well as the atmosphere. Consistency is the key, sometimes the food didnt taste the same like the mongo and ampalaya, the veggies wasnt soft enough to my liking. But overall theyre decent.“
“Best Filipino restaurant ever! I go food shopping in Elmhurst very often and saw this place is on the way. I decided to try and this place is one of my favorite restaurant since. Food is great and server are friendly, happy and polite. The restaurant actually expands to another room and has bigger space and table. When the restaurant is busy, you will hardly see the server because they are running around doing stuff.I love Dasilog (brunch menu), Deep fried milk fish with garlic rice and fried egg.Tosilog (brunch menu), Sweet red pork with garlic rice and fried egg.Bistek Pinoy, beef sauteed with onionSisig Bangus, chopped crispy milkfish with onion and seasoned.my favorite desserts are Halo and Leche Flan.“
“A restaurant with cafeteria-style service offering an extensive variety of options. The food was extremely affordable and absolutely delicious. It truly provides great value for your money. The staff here was very friendly and accommodating. The interior was spacious and practical. We had the pork sinigang, fish stew, papaitan, pork inihaw, and leche flan. We ordered more dishes, but I forgot what they're called. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a quick and inexpensive meal.“
“This has to be my favorite fried chicken restaurant around! The chicken is crunchy on the outside and super juicy inside. What makes Jollibee's Chickenjoy special is its tasty seasoning that's a mix of savory and sweet flavors. It's so delicious, you just can't get enough of it!“
“Small restaurant with delicious food. Lumpia, pork belly and chicken chosuey with garlic rice filled our tummies. There are about 5 tables and I do not believe they serve alcohol. Owners are very sweet and the restaurant is clean. Food is cooked fresh so may take slightly longer than expected.“
“The best and authentic Filipino Food. If you are looking for a fresh and quality food, this is the place to go. Servers are very knowledgeable of their products. Good food + Good service = happy customer. Thank you Max Queens! We will definitely come back and bring our friends and family.“
“Love the grocery options, and the fresh desserts and bread delivered. Their cooked "turo-turo" food could work on the freshness and oilyness of it. I would say make less portions in each turo turo dish that look and taste fresh, would keep patrons coming back for more when it has run out for the day.. They are expensive too! But a Must try is the pork and chicken barbecue that's the highlight of it all tbh.“
“Food is really good. Hubby and I would come back again. We came on a rainy Saturday afternoon, so the place was empty. The food came out very quickly. Looks like they do karaoke here, but while we were here they were playing Spanish music. They gave us space and did not hover, so that was very nice. They try to make the place nice and hip. But you can tell the building itself is worn. Not their doing. But overall a good vibe. Overall, we highly recommend. And we'll be back.“
“My family and I have been going here for years, probably over a decade, for Filipino food and we love this small family-owned business. We regularly get food for the holidays around here. Some of our faves are their palabok (my mom loves and says unlike some other places here in the US, it tastes like the palabok she'e had in the Philippines), turon, and their camaron rebosado. Definitely a great neighborhood Filipino spot with wonderful staff.“
