“Went to this restaurant on our drive up to Canada as we were staying in Syracuse for the night.

I called ahead (on the same day) to make a reservation, which is recommended. They were full by the time we got there. We were seated quickly, but waited a while for service. It seemed like there were only 2 servers that night, and they were both running back and forth from the host position to grabbing drinks to getting the food out.

I ordered the steak frites. It was good, but a bit salty for my tasting. The fries had a heavy coating of Parmesan cheese which made it too salty.

The atmosphere and vibe is nice and romantic. However in the winter it does get cold as it’s an older building and when people enter/exit the restaurant a draft gets let in.

Overall, it was an okay experience. I’d come back in the summer just to see if things are different.“

“Went to Joey's for the first time last night. I cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was. From the fresh bread with yummy garlic butter to delicious salads and fabulous entrees. I ordered Shrimp Francaise and it was the best food I have ever eaten. I brought Tiramisu home for desert. Again, mouth watering, so so delicious. My friends had eggplant Parmesan, clams, salmon, chicken french, and all raved about their entrees. But the other best part was the host Chris and our wonderful server Nancy. She is by far the best server ever. She made our evening fun while providing excellent service. Totally in tuned with our table and always answering our questions with knowledge and a wonderful attitude. The ambiance was great. Nice little tables for two in corners and just the right atmosphere for everyone.“

“First time here last night for my birthday. Sat at the bar and was waited on by Bianca? (Dark hair and sparkly top on) She was friendly, professional, efficient and checked on us often. Gnocchi in vodka sauce and meatballs were to die for, and fried ravioli appetizer special was super tasty too! Currently eating my leftovers for dinner and she wrote the sweetest happy birthday note on the box, sent the wonderful experience home with me. 10/10“

“We recently had dinner at this establishment. It as a special occasion so be brought a cake with us and were told there would be a $20 serving fee! How outrageous is that! In this day and age with this economy I would think you would be grateful for the business. Where is the customer service! I was told you have a baker on sight so that is the reason! ridiculous! “My coworker and I sat at the bar seating in front of the pizza kitchen. We had a great experience chatting with the staff making the pizzas. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive even though the restaurant was packed on a Tuesday evening. The food was amazing from appetizer to dessert. “Placed my order via DoorDash, put a note (which most places don’t allow) asking for extra saucy riggies, and to see if they could possibly add an extra meatball for my sons spaghetti and I would call the establishment directly to pay the extra charge over the phone. (there wasn’t an option to purchase separately)
I received my order within 30 minutes, everything was HOT, fresh, saucy, and DELICIOUS! And they even added the extra meatball! I was so impressed. I called and spoke with the manager to make payment and he kindly declined only asking me how the food was and if I liked everything. This was my first time having Gino & Joes, we just moved to the area… but we will definitely order again… and again!! 😊 great food and phenomenal customer service!“
