“We love the Caldwell House ~ it’s our go to for all special occasions. We came tonight and were so sad to find out they quit serving their famous cheese and crackers. That was our absolute favorite thing about coming here.“

“I was searching for a place to have lunch on top of the water, and found this gem. A golf course! Beautiful scenery. Food was great. Very fresh and some added flavors to make this spot a little different. The pretzel bits are great, with the maple mustard..yumm.I was also told the best view was from the 10th hole...it sure was breathtaking. I would go eat there again for lunch and for a stroll.“

“we loved our stay. The views were beautiful and so relaxing. The food was delicious, and we loved that you could order at the Cabana bar as well as in the restaurant. We were not disappointed with anything we ordered. Best risotto I've ever had. Our bartender was very attentive, friendly and made great drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting lakeside in the evening relaxing with drinks. All staff were friendly, very helpful and hard working. We truly appreciate their hard work, and it didn't go unnoticed. The beach was clean and so family friendly. We just enjoyed sitting in the chairs, which were in the water and observing the breathtaking views. We were walking distance to the wonderful Lake George village. Our room was comfortable, clean and great AC. The fire pits at night were a great addition. our stay was very relaxing and we had a great time.“

“You dine at the Boardwalk for the AMAZING views of the lake, as it's perfectly situated in the heart of the village to see the Lac du and Mohican pass by. The service is always super quick and friendly. As for the food, it's mostly fried bar food. Chicken tenders are frozen out of box and so are the fries. I am not sure why cooks today don't want to serve hand cut fries. Lazy? I like the fried fish, but I doubt it's fresh fish and likely frozen too. Let's just say its location and views of the lake are what keep this place in business. That's why I go there when I am visiting the area. You don't really go here for the food and the culinary experience. Regardless, I will keep going there on sunny afternoons for lunch to take in some fresh Adirondack air off the lake and great views.“

The staff's friendliness adds so much to the overall experience, making it feel like more than just a meal. It’s an occasion. The drinks are expertly crafted, showcasing real attention to detail and a clear sense of pride. As for the food, it’s absolutely phenomenal. Every dish is beautifully presented, and the flavors are vibrant and thoughtfully composed. You can truly taste the passion of the chefs in every bite. On my last visit, I had the chance to sit near the chefs. Their focus, and commitment to excellence were on full display. If you love fresh, homemade food and a vibe that’s unmatched, this is the place to be.“

“👍👍Can't say enough about how wonderful and accommodating Patty and her fantastic staff were when they recently allowed us to host a memorial service dinner on their enclosed patio. From the start, Patty met most every request with a prompt response that was both positive and reassuring. The space was perfect for our group, the food was met with positive reviews from all of our group of folks from toddlers to seniors, and the service provided by Allison, Candace and the rest of their crew was sweet, attentive, and efficient. If you are looking for a nice space with a local history vibe and unpretentious atmosphere with consistently good food and great service, Cooper's Cave is a great option. Both came with bagel chips which were crunchy and delicious. The sandwiches were great. Service was good. Lunches were made fresh in the spot. Price was appropriate. Nice little place for a mid~afternoon lunch.“
