The Docksider Reviews
The food is always spot on! We have come here for several years since our daughter lives in Lake George! She is just up the road and takes us 2 mins to coast down to them! Sometimes when we are in town we come multiple times because the food, atmosphere and the staff are so great!
My husband and I went last night for New Year’s Eve! They were out of the Lobster Tail by 7, we weren’t told until we were ordering. I ended up ordering the scallops and strip steak ( which was terribly chewy) our waitress told us our meals would be less because of no lobster tails…False! Our bill was $154.00! They rush you as well and for no reason! The dining room was basically empty when we left at 8:00. We’ve been there many times before, safe to say last night...read full review

The Docksider is a lakeside restaurant featuring beautiful gardens and flowers, providing a lovely view and a pleasant atmosphere. The outdoor deck is a great spot to enjoy a meal or drink while taking in the scenery. The service is generally good, with friendly staff always checking to ensure customers are satisfied. While the food can be hit or miss, sticking to simple options is recommended. The French Dip sandwich, a $15 lunch special, has been noted for being overwhelmed with onions. However, the restaurant has received praise for its excellent food and desserts, particularly its cheesecake, which has been described as thick, creamy, and delectable. Guests have enjoyed various dishes, including scallops, cauliflower crust pizza, pizza, and nachos, with many commenting on the good quality. The atmosphere is good and dog-friendly, making it a pleasant spot for everyone. Overall, The Docksider is a fantastic place to enjoy a drink, such as a reasonably priced Stella, while appreciating the gorgeous views and vibrant flowers. The outside patio is cozy with tower heaters, making it comfortable for large groups. The outside seating right on the water is very pretty, and while there may be a wait to get in, it is considered worth it for the enjoyable experience.
