Stopped by here for a couple of turkey sandwiches to go. The place looks like it's been around for decades. The two employees who are older must be a married couple that have been with each other for decades with the way they talk to each other lol. Prices aren't bad and look like they don't change that much over the years. Looks to have plenty of bread options. Breakfast only on Sundays. Plenty of parking in the back of the building. You know what I love about this place, it's authentic, you ordered a sub with tomato and Eileen slices it by hand, thick, the way you want it, there's a lot of good restaurants in placid but if you don't eat here you're missing out, I've been a summer resident of placid for almost 20 years and I look forward the most to grabbing a sandwich and a cold boylan grape soda, highly recommend, best place in town, try it, you'll be hooked like me

Excellent place for a hearty breakfast with a cozy diner vibe. We loved the Paysanne with cheddar cheese and olive bread, and the sourdough buckwheat pancakes. Also very good bang for your buck - it was about $25 for two of us and we were stuffed and had leftovers.
