“You have alot of star's in Mandy Bean Spec. Coffee shop, but for me personally Merriam was very hands on. So she shined the brightest. I strictly come for two items "everything croissant" and "toasted cookie ripple". She explained it, may be seasonal. So she called her management. To see if it was okay to give me a a gallon of the "toasted cookie ripple" (survival pack). They ok'd it, and I'm just simply pleased by it. Awesome place... Great job girls!!!!“
“Found this place when looking for a new cozy coffee spot. My boyfriend lives in Flushing so this was close enough for us to drive to, and the crepes looked so good. We came in on a cold snowy day, and immediately felt the warmth of fresh coffee and sweet fluffy crepes. We also got a croissant sandwich which was one of our favorite breakfast foods lately. The owner, George, was so friendly, and we spent a while just chatting to him about shared interests and family life.If you’re looking for a welcoming place to enjoy some great food, yummy coffee, and where you’re supporting a small business instead of a corporation, Maillard is for you. Worth the drive even from Long Island. We’ll be back soon!“
“Stopped by for a coffee to go and it was so good. They have a lot of seating inside and it was fairly quiet so I feel like you could come here to get some work done. The coffee was moderately priced and the pastries looked really good. The inside is kind of hipster-y and the staff was nice! I'd definitely stop by again.“

“Southdown coffee has quickly become my new favorite coffee spot! This little place is filled with awesome vibes, great people, and amazing coffee (with adorable latte art)! Special shout out to the manager, Chris, who is always super friendly and helpful. Thank you to everyone at Southdown for creating such a welcoming experience, it has made a huge difference as I transition to a new town.“
“A Dec 9, 2023 bus trip by the IACC of Albany took us for our first time to the famed Little Italy on Arthur Ave in the Bronx, NY.Note to first time visitors: serious sensory overload here. The smells & taste are mouth watering. And for us the boisterous exchange between merchants and the throngs of visitors is music to my ears. The Arthur Ave Retail Market is a nostalgic trip to what this neighborhood was and continues to be today. This review is to recommend Marie's Fresh Roasted Coffee Beans & Gifts. A narrow shop just chock full of all things coffee-roasters, grinders, espresso machines, Moka pots like nonna had on all day long, serving bowls & platers, & some many accessories. The complex aroma of the freshly roasted coffee is feast for the senses. And Marie is a force of nature as she greets, advises, and educates the customers that pack this this mainstay of Arthur Ave.Marie processed our order of of four big bowls that are going to be wedding presents in 2024 & to be shipped to our home. Very polite & efficient with our order. And it was very busy this afternoon. It was packed perfectly to prevent damage and it arrived when she said it would,It was a great experience. And thank you again Marie.sincerely Nicola & Liz Parisi, Albany, NY“
“Had a really great Matcha at CFCF. I really appreciated the service as I ordered my matcha to the wrong location but they very nicely made it for me at the location I had hoped to order it at. The gripps Street location is really nice inside, a little bit small but it did not feel overcrowded. The gluten-free oatmeal square grew on me, but it was not great (very crumbly and not as much flavor as I hoped for). Definitely better things to eat so I will need to explore more.“
“The staff and service here is impeccable. John, Julia, Gillian, Marcus, Harley, Spencer are all great people. Don't trust the rest of these reviews as what do you expect your "barista" to be? A 45 year old rocket scientist? Of course it's a job for young people. We live in an age where people need to be heard and in this snooty town, everyone has to find something petty to complain about. I've been going to this place for 20 years and they're a community coffee shop with great coffee and great young people working there. Always have been and I could name them. Are they going to make mistakes? Sure, like everyone else. And they'll fix it like they always have. There's about 100 of the same loyal customers there every morning from 6-9 AM so what does that tell you?Reviewers should stop being so critical if there was a mistake somewhere. Let us judge reviewers lives as they judge hard working young people. Give the place a shot, they can make anything the green machine can make, as Julia just did for me for my girlfriend's favorite green machine drink. The coffee is also as fresh as can be. Roasted on the spot and they also support local artists and businesses so what's not to like?Give Sunshine a try and I promise you won't be disappointed. If you like your coffee a certain way, let them know and you'll be taken care of.“
